| With SPECTRE being released on November 5th, 2015, I figured it's about time for a B&B Fleming novel marathon. Those interested can read a Bond novel or two per month, and post their thoughts as they progress. I'm thinking a separate thread for each month would be sufficient.
January would be a good month to start. In the meantime, those that want to participate can discuss how they'd like to tackle the collection. Based on John Griswold's chronology, I've set up this monthly reading schedule:
January 2015: CASINO ROYALE February 2015: LIVE AND LET DIE March 2015: MOONRAKER April 2015: DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER May 2015: FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE June 2015: DR. NO July 2015: GOLDFINGER August 2015: FOR YOUR EYES ONLY & OCTOPUSSY/THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS September 2015: THUNDERBALL October 2015: THE SPY WHO LOVED ME November 2015: ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE December 2015: YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE January 2016: THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN

| Solid idea, though why not cover December 2015? SPECTRE buzz will still be going, and it'll sort out the problem of two books per month.
Has anyone made a list of the Bond novels sorted by length? |

Has anyone made a list of the Bond novels sorted by length? Suppose we could just go from Jan. 2015 - Jan. 2016. You can go to the Bond novel Wikipedia page and sort them by length: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_James_Bond_novels_and_short_stories Casino Royale is the shortest, full novel. Goldfinger is the longest. |

| For the last two films I actually read the novels up to release (with the exception of TSWLM and TMWTGG the first time). I'd like to do that again for SPECTRE, but I've already planned on reading all the post-Fleming novels as I never gone through them except for COLONEL SUN. Maybe if I plow through them fast enough, I'll revisit some of the Fleming novels. They're always a joy to read. |

| Count me in. I return to the novels sporadically, usually when I have flu or something, but I haven't read them chronologically since I was a boy. Let's do them one a month though. |

| I modified the monthly schedule. I only doubled-up on the books with short stories. OCTOPUSSY & THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS is barely 100 pages, anyway.
I'm thinking of associating this with B&B's social media, just to generate interest from non-members and maybe lure some more people to this website. It certainly wouldn't hurt, especially with SPECTRE hitting theaters in the next year. |

| That's a fun idea. I always liked that our social media pages emphasized the books more often than others do, so doing a countdown would be fitting. |

| We could even set up a separate account on Twitter for it. Just include the forum's links in every post, or in the profile description.
If we use hashtags like #JamesBond, #literature, #books, #IanFleming, then we're bound to have someone stumble across it. |

| Great. I'll put that up on bookface at the start of the year, maybe earlier just to spread awareness first. |

| I've been slowly re-reading the novels (in between non-Bond books) for a year or more now. On FYEO now, so I'll see you gents in August perhaps. |

| I've started Casino Royale.
If only two people are going to participate, then I guess there's really no point in carrying on with this. |

| I hope not, I'd love to read everyone's thoughts on the books. |
