- The last half an hour is by far the most emotionally draining and action packed aspect of the entire film. Infact, any Bond film. I can officially say that I have never cried during any James Bond film. I came close with the death of Bonds wife in OHMSS, but never have I ever had a near emotional breakdown. Until now.. there’s a major event in this one, that will pretty much make your mouth drop. It is SO unexpected and brilliantly acted. It wasn’t happy tears either. I nearly lost it. I’m so happy that I kept myself contained, but I won’t deny that the tears were rolling down my face.
This is hilarious. Sounds like LIFETIME has the inside track for exclusive television broadcast rights. I can't really comment on Sandy Vagina's posting at IMDB; it could be totally legit for all I know. There were a few details that sounded like they could be true, but I mostly just skimmed the entire thing because I want to be surprised when I see the film, and not know too much about the film. It would be truly awesome, though, if Sandy Vagina's test-screening review was 100% legit and SONY was okay with early test screenings (knowing word would get out), but doesn't want to tell us who the title song singer is yet. Is there even going to be a title song at this point, or is it just going to be instrumental music? |

People who think this is gonna be a TWINE recycle plot can add a similarity of a Bond girl bad acting. |

Either OHMSS or CR. Both were about 2 hours and 25 minutes. I doubt that SKYFALL is intended to be 3 hours long. It's just a rough cut, no? - Quote :
People who think this is gonna be a TWINE recycle plot can add a similarity of a Bond girl bad acting. If that's true, I wonder if they'll ditch the plot revelation of her being Moneypenny, and simply allow the character to exit the series in this film, rather than bringing her back in a continuing role.

This is hilarious. Just maybe I MIGHT know who this woman is. Over 30 years back, a theater in Milpitas, CA had a grand opening, and it did so with a triple bill reissue: LOGAN'S RUN, CAPRICORN ONE and THE SPY WHO LOVED ME. During the laughably non-tense 'disarm the nuke warhead' scene in SPY, a woman sitting right in front of me murmured to the screen, "Be careful, James." I was laughing harder at her statement than I did at the part of IT'S ALIVE where a bunch of armed cops surround the wrong baby. Harder than I laughed during BROADCAST NEWS when Albert Brooks gets near-terminal flop-sweat. It was just about on par with the funniest moments in THE PINK PANTHER STRIKES AGAIN, which on first viewing pretty much set the apogee for how much I could laugh in a movie. Well shit, it MIGHT be the same woman. The only way this might be true is if Felix Leiter was in the movie and got croaked, but if that were the case, it'd be the best-kept-secret in the biz. |

Still, I suppose that subconciousely that is probably good for me as I have been hopelessly attempting to avoid any spoilers for SF for the last few weeks.

This is hilarious. Is there any situation where it would not be considered hilarious and would instead raise interest in the film? For instance, what if Bond's life was genuinely in danger in the last half hour? The last few sequences might be "emotionally draining", but pretty much any emotion can drain you. I often feel that way after teaching Year 8, mostly because they can be very difficult and maintaining order in the classroom can take a lot out of me. |

I often feel that way after teaching Year 8, mostly because they can be very difficult and maintaining order in the classroom can take a lot out of me. If they stole an unused series of pages from Shane Black's LETHAL WEAPON 2 script, the one that had Riggs stabbed repeatedly and left to bleed out for the third act, at the end of which he expires, it could possibly tug some heartstrings. But I don't think that is in the cards. |

| If somebody stole the really nice hubcaps off the Aston-Martin, I'd find that draining.
My first car was a red 66 Mustang with the most amazing set of doublespokes on the hubcaps, three of which were stolen within a month. Kinda made the car seem defaced, and couldn't come close to affording to replace them either. |

| This morning I did something embarassing and shameful which I shall never be able to forget or forgive myself for, I bought a copy of the 'Mail on Sunday' (shudder). The reason I bought this was because of the 'Live' magazine (their 'men's' magazine, full of fancy expensives perfumes, wines, and manbags) as it has a large feature on SF. It was a cracking good read with some new, never-before-seen (atleast I think) pictures. It had a few minor spoilers although nothing particularly spoilerific but I learned a few key things from there which I thought were worth sharing.
First of all, the pre-credits sequence runtime was confirmed at approximately 11 minutes, making it around the same length as GE's (3rd behind TWINE and DADs in terms of running length I believe. Also, Bond DOES drink atleast one Heineken in SF. He has it whilst in bed with a beautiful girl in a Turkish villa whilst he is 'enjoying death'. Finally, on the back cover is a poster for SF, nothing interesting here, except it has a TBC 12A rating for 'Moderate Action Violence and One Use of Strong Language', under the BBFC's definitions I believe that 'strong language' ROUGHLY translates to one word, 'fuck'. So that Is a surprise and a first for the James Bond films (unless you count the police officer on the bridge in AVTAK or Sheriff J.W. Pepper mouthing it in LALD). |

And, of course... the bitch is dead. Where was 'fuck' added in in the Italian versions? It certainly is not there in the English versions. - AMC Hornet wrote:

LALD: Mrs Whistler as plane leaves hangar: "Holy shit!" According to the BBFC those, as well as just about every other swear word you can think of, are seen as only mild or moderate language. To my knowledge only one word is seen by them as strong language (fuck), and only one other word is seen by them as very strong language (c***). Usually a 12/12A certificate film will get away with a few 'F words' depending upon the contet although no more than a few, wheraas the 'C word' is an automatic 15 or 18 certificate. (well that was probably the most expletive-laden post on 'Bond and Beyond' so far ) |

| Most PG-13 movies have one F word in them, and it's about time it showed up in Bond.
To the purists who want to bitch and moan about it, Bond says fuck you. :face: |

| Bond told Goldfinger to fuck himself over the novel afterall. If Bond is ever going to swear I'd prefer it to be used in very rare parts. When Bond calls Tiffany a "bitch", it's shocking because we're not used to seeing Bond use such language. |

| I just found this inverview with Bardem, which stood out because of this part: - Quote :
- "The villain has to be especially accomplished [this year] to pay homage to the great Bond villains. I can't wait to see the movie, except I don't want to see myself with that funny hair. It was Sam's idea. We were discussing Silva and he said, 'This guy has to have some kind of striking look that will leave an impression'. When you see the film, it will all make sense and be explained. I just went with it and had fun."
It looks like his blond hair could be a by-product of the story. |
