| Amazing. There's nothing racist about a bright, orange, plastic shackle on a shoe. Are these people implying that only blacks and non-whites where Adidas? That's interesting, as I've got a pair myself. |

That plus ads for finger lickin chicken. Or, to put a fine point on it, any business in which blacks constitute a high percentage of the customer base. |

| On his show tonight, Lawrence O’Donnell brought up the GOP’s “Southern strategy” and wondered if part of this strategy was “an appeal to racism and racist voting.” And this led O’Donnell to ask if the Mitt Romney campaign deliberately wanted to get booed by an audience of African-Americans in order to appeal to racist voters. Guest Goldie Taylor told O’Donnell that his assessment was on the mark.
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/lawrence-odonnell-did-romney-campaign-want-to-get-booed-at-naacp-to-appeal-to-racist-voters/
---------------------
If Lawrence O'Donnell's assessment was "on the mark", what does it say about the NAACP audience that went along with the conspiracy by booing Romney? And wouldn't it have played better to Romney's "base" if he just didn't bother to go to the convention in the first place? That's what I would have done: not gone. The fact is, Goldie Taylor, Lawrence O'Donnell, and the rest of that MSNBC panel would have called Romney a racist for not going to the NAACP convention in the first place.
In fact, for daring to use the word "Obama Care", The Daily Beast has assured us that Romney is without a doubt a "race-baiting pyromaniac". http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/07/12/michael-tomasky-on-mitt-romney-the-race-baiter-at-the-naacp.html

| Race paranoia is far worse than McCarthyism ever dreamed of being. And it's lasted much, much longer.
I really wish we could just split the US in two and dump all these loons in one half and all the regular folks could live in the other. |

I really wish we could just split the US in two and dump all these loons in one half and all the regular folks could live in the other. "Race paranoia" is excellent business for the Democrats, The NAACP, and MSNBC. Unfortunately, the U.S. is split into two sections already. The country is divided along ideological fault lines, and it won't take much at this point to trigger a social earthquake. It could be Obama losing in November, it could be George Zimmerman being acquitted at trial...but eventually something is going to give and it's going to get ugly. I'm looking to escape big city life anyway. Maybe something more rural and northerly...Maine, Montana, North Dakota.... |

They come from Pluto . It's the only way to explain the insanity. We have to convince them to get back in their spaceships and leave us earthlings in peace.

Yeah, that's for sure. I'm starting to get depressed whenever I turn on or read the news these days. I don't know what's happening to this place. :| |

I'm starting to get depressed whenever I turn on or read the news these days. I don't know what's happening to this place. :| Then you won't want to read this: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/election-2012/house-minority-leader-nancy-pelosi-mitt-romney-made-a-calculated-move-booed-naacp-article-1.1112731 " House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says Mitt Romney made a ‘calculated move’ to get booed at NAACP" Yeah, he showed up. I mean, was there ever really any doubt that he was going to get some boo-birds from the NAACP? Personally I wouldn't have booed him for the simple fact that he was an invited guest; you don't treat guests that way. This wasn't an open-forum, town-hall style meeting, where people are free to express how they feel about an impending piece of legislation. In the famous words of Admiral Akbar: "It's a trap!" By her logic does it mean that President Obama made a calculated move to not get booed by not attending? That would imply Nancy Pelosi employs logic. Or what does it say about the audience at the convention that they gave him what he allegedly wanted by booing him? People such as Pelosi, Lawrence O'Donnell, the NAACP, etc...*are* the face of modern-day liberalism, and they cannot be reasoned with. These people are truly mentally ill. Liberalism as defined in 2012 by these people *IS* a disease. And because they cannot be reasoned with I saw no point in Romney even bothering to show up at this dog-and-pony show, but he rejected my advice and went anyway. Go figure. |

But not a bad idea to get an early taste of the liberal "tolerance" mobs. Who wrote that book, liberalism is a mental disorder? But my favourite is still David Mamet, author of the famous epiphany, subtitled How I Stopped Being a Brain-dead Liberal, who channeled Greek Mythology in declaring liberals face a sisyphean burden in justifying their positions. Well put. |

| Liberals are tolerant... unless you don't agree with or believe in what they're saying. And only Republicans can be hypocrites. I'll dig up and post a fun link later that shows how Nancy Pelosi isn't much different than John Boehner. |
