Perhaps, but commercial terms are at least quantifiable. And getting into the semantics of who's better at what they do and what's more respectable than what would just be futile. The Kardashians want to be the center of attention and talked about in every half-rate gossip rag and achieve that. Craig presumably wants an Oscar or a Tony or something along those lines and hasn't. Who's the more successful?

Sure, it's the easy route to take and far less subjective, but by doing so you're rending art (in this case acting) as commerce. By art, I'm talking about the running-through-walls sh*t, but stuff like OUR FRIENDS IN THE NORTH and LOVE IS THE DEVIL.

The non-commercial assessment of their careers doesn't have to end up in relativism. You find a number of preconceived values that we all agree on, then go from there.

I am suddenly very interested in these Kardashians. What's their claim to fame? I see they are now calling Kris Humphries gay. Why'd she marry him if he was gay? :scratch: Is he really gay?

Her celebrity is a symptom of the bankrupt value system in the West.

Does the interviewer really expect him to expand on his Kardashians quote, while red-carpeting his new movie, especially when she can only lamely repeat the supposed quote back to him, or paraphrase it, or whatever the hell she was trying to do. He was right to straighten her out and move on. Good one Dan, now don't forget to put your hair back to black, when you return to the Bond set.

His facial expression concerning the Kardashian bit just screams of "I couldn't give less of a shit about them".

The reporter has to bring better game than that, if she wants to trip him up or get him to expand on his Kardashian outburst, but still if he's on his game, he can brush her off no matter how smart she might be with the question.

""Are you bothered by the reaction to your Kardashian comments?" That might have worked. The question is leading and provocative and might have spurred a response, but still its easily dodged, with a simple No, however there would still be that temptation to expand on the "No".

But Craig used excellent technique on her, by turning the question around on her, and implying the story isn't near as interesting as she seems to think it might be. Smooth move Dan!
