| Click on "profile" to add an avatar underneath your username. You can enter one of your own avatars via the off-site picture link or choose one from the forumotion galleries. Try to keep your avatar reasonably sized, otherwise it may be removed. Remember to fill in your favourite Bond film, favourite Bond actor & location too if you have the time to do so. Humour most welcome in locations etc, although obscenities will obviously be removed.
Many thanks, enjoy the forums.

They're under consideration for the time being until we've had some proper feedback on how the members want the site to look, so for the time being things are being kept fairly minimalistic. Some people like having signatures, some find them distracting and unnecessary. For the record, I'm neither here nor there on them. When/if the site picks up, we'll see whether or not people are happy to have them. |

| Just click on "profile" at the top of the page, then above the menu which comes up, you'll see options to the top right hand corner, one of them is "avatar" (next to signature etc).... find a pic of your choice from wherever, then paste the pic's location address thingie into the "link to an off-site avatar" box. Should work. 8) |

I'm all for that. EDIT: Whoa, now it's working. Weird, it didn't seem to display for a couple of minutes after I submitted it. |

| I'm gonna be a jerk and vote steadfastly against them. One thing I liked about MI6 was how it was free of clutter. There was plenty of spam, but not clutter.
Signatures clog up the works and break up the flow when you're following discussions. That's my opinion. |

| Well if that's the case, Ms Lockhart will hang around for one or two more days. Just as well I ditched that Batman gif. Lumme. |

| I pretty much agree with Tux on this. IMO, a signature is okay if it's just a very small line or quote or something at the bottom of a post, but anything else does kinda distract me a bit, and yep it kinda breaks things up a bit and clutters the board. I actually thought they weren't allowed on here until I saw a couple turn up last night. |

| If they're text rather than big pics, it shouldn't be an issue. Though I do like how "clean" and uncluttered the place looks. |

Yeah, I think we should keep it this way. No signatures. |

| Signatures get boring anyway. You just see the same damn things over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
And over and over and over.
And over. |

| Between Sharky's avatar and Lazenby's avatar, I'm not sure I'd notice a signature. |

They'd probably fall through the cracks. |

| Ditch them. Even text signatures. They're useless clutter. Let people use the location tag like a signature as on OldMI6, that kept it concise, and if you didn't want to read it you didn't have to. This way when you're scanning down the page you can skim read without getting some random quote in there.
I'd also say implement the no copyright rule that led to some F***ING creative avatars, but I suspect I'd be alone on that. Plus it takes so much effort to make them. |

I've actually had similar thoughts, but I wouldn't vote in favor of it. I got used to not having EON pics. |

| I won't complain of it being taken down if everyone insists. At least I can still upload a custom avatar. Since the winds seem to be going one way, I'll take mine down immediately anyway. |

| I've never been a huge signature fan, either. Perhaps a line of text would be sufficient. Maybe room for a quote or something.

| I think keeping everything to a minimum and clean is the best approach. The site should focus more on good conversation than gimmicks/signatures, etc. |

I've actually had similar thoughts, but I wouldn't vote in favor of it. I got used to not having EON pics. I mostly just like them at a uniform width. Does this one scale them automatically or is it all done manually? |

Does this one scale them automatically or is it all done manually? I think it's automatic. The one I just uploaded is twice the size. I do like the resize function doesn't F*** it up. I found it annoying that some sites would really pixelate the hell out of photos uploaded and I'd have to rescale em myself so they wouldn't end up so botched. I think we should allow the option to upload EON material. I'm more happy that we can actually upload anything besides Bond related stuff. |

| Sharky could finally use this image I showed him a few months ago. At least the portion on the left. Octogenarian Moore meets the Shark. No need to wait for the mods to upload them at MI6. And if you wanna know where that came from: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=29567 Yeah, weird S***. http://www.comicbookresources.com/assets/images/articles/1290556242.jpg Wuuut. |
