... and it's easy to see why I was not initially on the "Craig will never look like Bond" boat. Unfortunately I was proven wrong when they made him look like he belonged on a construction site, wearing an extra small suit he nicked during the London riots.

Craig has always looked perfect in that image -- and it's no mistake that was essentially the image they used to calm us all the fuck down when that whole "BOND IS NOT BLONDE" fiasco was going down. And yet they've intentionally moved further and further away from that great look. Which, to me, just overall proves my entire "EON is intentionally trying to sabotage this character" viewpoint.

Eh.....I'm not sure if Barbara would want those tapes leaked to the general public. Could prove to be very embarrassing.

That original picture of Craig as Bond is far from my favorite pic. It's alright.

Frankly, I think he looks better with shorter hair. Not quite as short as he has it now, mind you, and not with gel in it, like it was styled for CASINO ROYALE, but short hair suits him. I thought it was looking pretty good in QUANTUM OF SOLACE, where it was still short, but they weren't using hair gel anymore. The length he had it during the QUANTUM OF SOLACE promotional run--just a little bit longer than in either of the films--is about as long as I'd let 'em have it go.

Yeah. Not a hint of the building site, or sales rep, there at all.

Crazy thing is that if photographed sympathetically, Craig can look the part of the classic Bond. It seems, however, that often THE POWERS THAT BE have it in mind for DC to look as un-Bondian as possible, clearly a deliberate move away from the fancy, elegant sophisticated Brozza-Bond.

Sadly, they often seem to be over doing their hand.

Somebody--about a week ago--posted a pic of Craig (and I think Babs) relaxing, and I was taken aback by his lack of hair. It seems to me Craig's hairline had receded noticeably since he shot QOS.

I think the uber-short haircut may be a function of Craig's lack of hair. If I can find that pic I'll post it for you and you can see what you think.

It's possible, but IIRC, Craig was sporting longer-hair right before SKYFALL started shooting.

Oh, he's definitely sporting a shorter do right now. It's about like mine, only not a flat top.

Naturally. His haircut is uber-short. But I don't think it's because he *can't* do a longer look.

In interviews, Craig said he wanted to create a "new" look for Bond in SKYFALL. The super-short haircut is a part of that, I guess. I don't get the appeal, but it seems more of an aesthetic choice than a choice made out of necessity.

It looks like a military style, which fits with the rebooted characterization, I guess.

It looks terrible, to be honest. But, if the film's decent, then I'll get over it.

I like both the photo Harms posted and that pre-Casino Royale publicity still. That's the most Bondian Craig has looked.

Not that I'm complaining too much about his look now, but I'm a bit surprised they didn't stick with the longer hair.
