B&B Banner/Theme

Let me know if you need an extra hand "fiddling".

I like the idea. The 007 logo now seems to be sorely missing everytime I look at our current banner (sure it's there, but it's tiny). It definitely needs an element that is instantly recognizable beyond the actors stances lined up. The 007 logo seems like the right answer.

We should con a fan artist into making an original logo and banner for us.

Preferably the one that uses MSpaint.

Is there any chance anyone could try putting the 'BONDANDBEYOND' title right through the centre of the 007 logo, just that on it's own without the six actors or the tagline?

Though, if we were to totally change the banner, I'd love a collage of different aspects spanning the films. Something like this:



Obviously, there would be snippets from every Bond film, not just GE. It would probably be best to exclude the gun barrel, or ensure it's not the centred, just for extra space. I can't make stuff like that...

With a Skyfall teaser poster imminent, it might be best to hang on for now until we've seen that poster, maybe we'll be able to incorporate it into our banner. With Skyfall around the corner, I'd really want all emphasis on making these forums the go-to place to discuss the film, hopefully snaring as many new members as possible by taking advantage of our copyright image usage.

Good idea, Herr M. Working Skyfall imagery into the banner will keep things fresh.

It looks great, too bad that teaser poster is so nonsensical. So he's walking down the gunbarrel? Is he the incredible shrinking Bond now?

To be fair the gunbarrel has always been nonsensical, blood flowing inside the barrel ect. Then there's that one flick where Bond shoots a bullet inside the barrel. ;)

I'd prefer this site to not have a fixed width. The Olde MI6 had a thingy that allowed it to be adjusted by the size of the browser. I rather B&B had something like that.

I'm hoping the current state is merely an in-progress mode at the moment, cuz everything's out of whack. Big font here, small font there...

Yeah I did think the blue colour scheme was great, but I understand wanting to tie the colour into the banner.

I think it'd be nice to get more feedback regarding the current banner/theme that M's kindly put together for us.

Personally, I enjoy it. It's as easy on the eyes as the other theme was. I'm wondering if there's anyway to modify the overall button scheme for the forum?

It's a good enough banner -- hard to argue with tying us into the upcoming movie as much as possible, but I do feel the colour scheme could be better. Rather than tying into the browny gold of the banner, how about doing something in greys and blacks instead? Battleship grey, gunmetal grey, etc.

I like the gold colour scheme....
