| Recently, my external hard drive shit the bed. I'm looking to buy another with 1 TB storage, but not sure what to get.
I was wondering if any of you could recommend a durable and reliable external hard drive. |

| I have 2...a Buffalo MiniStation Thunderbolt HD-PATU3 and WD My Passport Portable...no complaints so far. |

Not sure about Mac, haven't used one in years, but work fine on my Dell. |

| I just bought a 2TB Seagate.
I own many external hard drives and I only buy Seagate now.
First one I bought 8 years ago was a 40GB Western Digital, that thing crapped out on me in less than a year.
I also bought a 1TB Maxtor about 3 years ago and half of the time, Windows couldn't find it.
Ended up sending it back to Maxtor for a replacement after Maxtor became Seagate;
the replacement has not given me any problem. |

| I've heard good things about Seagate and WD. Not LACIE, though.
Think I'll be going with a 1TB WD My Passport. Looks portable and has enough space to hold all of my video files.
