Ian Fleming died forty-eight years ago today.

May he rest in peace, but left us far too early.

Indeed. We all owe him a great deal.

Requiescat in pacem.

RIP

I always find myself thinking "what if?" with regards to both himself and the Bond franchise had he lived to an older age. Still, you have to give him credit for living his life as he wanted and by his own rules, I highly doubt that he would have wanted to have lived to a very old age anyway (70+) given his lifestyle.

Fleming would not have fared well had he lived too far into the 70s.

Or the late 60's even. I'd imagine Fleming would've liked to attend Woodstock... in a tank.

Anyway, may he R.I.P.

RIP best writer ever lived

Your novels always avoid boriness during school. Though my teachers don't like it.

This here, interview by one favourite writer with another. Credit to the link maker (check out Chandler's whiskey slur, and the smoke puffing, gad those unPC years)
