Wouldn't you just call it quits? When your significant other is interested in other people, romantically or sexually, then isn't the relationship over? I don't see the point of carrying on. You can only discuss your "true feelings" for so long before someone starts fucking someone else.

This seems a bit odd to me, what would be the health difference between a man who has lots of sex with five different women and one who does the same with 20 different women? How does the amount of sexual partners factor in?

This somewhat reminds me of an experiment they recently conducted in Holland, where I believe half a dozen couples ranging in ages from early 20s to late 40s were asked to have sex at least once a day for at thirty day period. Two of the couples didn't last a single week (one stopped after three days IIRC). Perhaps challenging expectations, it was apparently the men of those two couples who wanted to stop.
Even those couples who did continue nearly all reported that they enjoyed their sex less.
The one couple which did alright and found it mostly fun were the forty-somethings.
