Monday 29th October at 10pm, BBC2's Top Gear presents a 50 Years of Bond Cars one-hour special, featuring interviews with Roger Moore and Daniel Craig. Then, later that evening at 0020, a repeat of 2002's James Bond: A BAFTA Tribute (95 mins).

The 85-year-old will chair the BBC1 show for the first time on November 23, as the show celebrates 10 years of guest presenters.

He joins regular panellists Ian Hislop and Paul Merton, as well as guest panellists Marcus Brigstocke and journalist Rachel Johnson - sister of London Mayor Boris, who is a former host of the show.

Sir Roger starred in seven Bond movies and his appearance has been announced as the latest 007 movie Skyfall dominates the UK box office, following its world premiere last week.

Thank heavens for ITV4, putting the turgid and uber-bland Casino Royale on at 22.40 will be great for insomniacs though.

And Skyfall is on ITV1 on the same night at 9, for those who can stand their movies full of ad breaks and split around the news.

Imagine, ITV will probably put the news break right in at the Tennyson moment.

The break for the news utterly kills the pace, too. What a joke.

I'm surprised they have time to squeeze in any fragment of movie or news between Ant and Dec programming?

8pm you have "Premium Bond" Mark Gattiss/Matthew Sweet waxing lyrical about all the Bond's (actor-wise). I've seen the Lazenby clip months ago and they're surprisingly pro-.

9pm- "Looking for Bond", an excuse to run archival clips of interviews with all the actors.

and 10pm a repeat of the "Sing for Bond" or whatever it's called that was done for Bond at 50. If I remember rightly a couple of songs such as We Have All the Time in the World were mullered a bit.

Watched that last night, it was very good ... fair play to Kermode for 'running the gamut' from silent movies to Atomic Blonde.
