Apparently, SKYFALL was almost titled SILVER BULLET, KILLING MOON, and ONCE UPON A SPY.

(Spoilers for SKYFALL in the article, so watch out if you haven't seen it.)

Can someone move this unnoticed thread to the Skyfall subforum? The Hollywood Reporter article remains one of the best reports on the film.

Hadn't noticed the section about Night of the Hunter influencing Skyfall before. Does Logan mean the underwater fight scene at Skyfall?

Probably more to do with the general sense of dread and impending doom that hangs over the entire third act and mirrors nicely with the children's arrival at Rachel Cooper's home and their fear for the inevitable arrival of Powell.

I've seen Skyfall many times, but never seem to make it through the third act. That's not necessarily a criticism. More to do with the length of my commute.
