Quantum Of Solace Deluxe Edition

We all know that Marc Forster made a commentary track back in late 2008/ early 2009 and that they putted away the original ending scene for a future Deluxe Edition like the one we got for CR.
But it isn't released, so what is the case about it? Does anyone have any information regarding this highly anticipated version of the film? It feels like we are losing something with a great potential with this..

There actually was going to be one in late 2010 but with the MGM troubles it was delayed like all the remaining blu-ray titles and sadly it wasn't a priority for the Bond 50 set. So it might be a long time before we ever get any of it.

So did Forster did do a commentary after all. Yes, how does one finesse the timing of such a release now?

It's funny thought this is the only movie of the whole lot without any bonus feature. Makes no sense.

QoS does have special features. If you've brought the special edition, put the material isn't really good though.

There's a deleted "killing of Mr White" scene as well, isn't there? Where does that fit in? :scratch:

That was supposed to be the original ending, which was supposed to be a cliffhanger.

Mentioned in the film as one of the Prime Minister's closest advisors, Guy Haines is also a senior member of the shadowy organisation 'Quantum'. 007 discovers his presence during the Tosca opera scene where Dominic Greene holds a meeting of Quantum members.

The movie was originally intended to end with a one-minute sequence where 007 introduces himself to Mr Haines at his estate, setting up the next adventure. The gun-barrel sequence, uniquely positioned at the end of "Quantum of Solace", would have appeared after Bond dispatches Mr White for good. The scene was shot over one day on location in London on April 14th 2008.

Aside from the filming date, this is just confirming what we already knew.

And there are some photos of the scene available around the net. I'm glad they cut it out which allowed Bond 23 to move its own path, and I really liked the ending with the necklace in the snow which reminded me of one of the Pan book covers.
