Anyone remember when this project was considered mysterious?

Anyone remember the days on old MI6 with that rumoured script featuring ant aliens and gay sex?

The internet kills all mystery.
Nevertheless, there are quite a few unanswered questions.

Yep. Thankfully the Engineers don't look anything like that in the film.

All it needs is Sean Connery in a tux walking upside down inside the volcano. That's a movie poster.

Yeah, nice and old school. I'd love for SKYFALL to have something similar to that.

imo Tentacles rarely convince in a film and this doesn't inspire me to think Scott has found a solution, its also unusually well illuminated for him.

I don't actually like it that much. It feels like a throwback to the hand-drawn posters of old, and that's a good thing - it reminds me of posters for the likes of FORBIDDEN PLANET. But the problem is that it isn't hand-drawn, so it comes off as a bit flat and disproportionate. The exploding spaceships should be bigger, or the space between them and the crew should be greater.

I know what you mean. It's someone trying ape that approach with Photoshop and it not quite pulling it off, but I give it a B for effort. That said, it's probably the closest we're gonna to get.

I also thinks it lacks a bit of punch, because someone who hadn't heard of PROMETHEUS until they saw that poster might be under the impression that the film is THE POISIDEN ADVENTURE set in space - two space ships collide and the survivors must find a way home. Which is at odds with the tagline, and given the lack of cast or credits, the tagline gets quite a bit of emphasis. There is no relationship between the image and the other information presented.

The spoilers abound now that people have seen PROMETHEUS. A lot of the reviews seem to suggest that expectations should be lowered a bit, praising the scale and visual design but also suggesting that the story is a bit aimless and scattershot (which, reading over some of the descriptions, seems to make sense).
The ending has some folks complaining that
Spoiler:
PROMETHEUS is really just a long-form set-up for PROMETHEUS 2
.

I am not going to read that SPOILER.
How have people already seen the movie?
There hasn't been any special screenings or press screenings here.

I'm guessing the move in general will be much more brightly lit than we're used to with Scott since it was shot in 3D.
