Since Santa's comment in the chatbox thread about him possibly being ol' Brian, YY has gone silent. Likely reading too much into this and affecting a witchunt mode but maybe his IP can be checked -or however we usually smoke him out.

I'm not either but such is the nature of this place at times that such suspicions seem to be aroused.

I'm gonna have to tie you all to chairs, then stick a heated copper wire in those Petree dishes holding your blood samples.

You could claim it is Brian doing a damn good job at concealing his true identity, but again there's no proof for that. All we have is our paranoia telling us potential members might be Brian because he popped up around here so much to an annoying degree.

The only thing I have to say about the General is that he rarely posts on other threads than the rebuilding of B&B and one odd thread.

I've had a talk with Brian (General Y Y) and he's admitted he was an annoying arsehole before (also explained the reason behind the archaic language/prim and proper demeanour - it's quite personal), and we're on good terms again. He's currently asking for the ban on Dragonpol to be lifted, so he can uses that account again.

I'm not sure. Personally I prefer him as General Y Y. What do the other mods think?

Not thrilled with the idea. Banned as dragonpol for being an annoying clod and he's been back in various [annoying] guises since. Then he's in the midst of a sludgefest on that thread.

If he's back as dragonpol I wonder if he'll resume his blog spamming and spamming in general.

Heh, I knew something was off when he suddenly sported that skull avatar. I'm really tired of this though. By principal, I would just ban him but I know at the same time he'll just pop up again like a fucking Whac-A-Mole. I don't get him, and I especially don't get the whole deal of not having the ability to IP ban.

My advice, and that's all it can be due to my departure at the weekend, would be to just keep this guy at arm's length. He gets overexcited when people respond to him and then when the responses die off even slightly, we end up with a full board of "Last Post : General Y Y" which just drives other members away. Like all trolls, attention is a drug to this guy, so his rampage about relationships was his 80mls of meth. If he only gets 20mls the next day, it's more comedown than he can bear, so our front page becomes his pharmacy front door, with the bugger banging all over it in the hope of getting the full 80mls he needs again. It's a tough one, this.
