Looks like Netflix was the big winner with House of Cards and Arrested Development getting some love. And I can't complain -- I love me some House of Cards. Hope it wins the big one and Kevin Spacey wins, too. Little miffed Parks and Rec didn't get a nod for Best Comedy and John Noble again got snubbed for Fringe. All in all, not too bad, I suppose.

Boardwalk Empire got Gyp'd (geddit?)

The last season was IMO better than what we got from the other two Outstanding Drama nominees I watch: Mad Men and Thrones.

CNN's PARTS UNKNOWN snagged some nominations, including: Outstanding Informational Series, Outstanding Writing for Nonfiction Programming (Libya episode), Outstanding Cinematography for Nonfiction Programming (Myanmar episode), and Outstanding Sound Mixing for Nonfiction Programming (Myanmar episode).

Check it out if you haven't already:

Forget about "Game of Thrones".
FX (the network as a whole) got majorly overlooked.
Of the best five TV shows I saw last year, three were on FX.
Yet they seem to have gotten a grand total of one nomination?

Nice to see HOUSE OF CARDS on the list. Anything to support Netflix's endeavors at making original works by genuine talent.

Ugh, no ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT for the Comedy category, but they nominate MODERN FAMILY: ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT FOR STUPID PEOPLE.

I haven't gotten around to S4 yet, but that is a shame they didn't get some kind of nod.

No surprise there. The Emmys have always loved Modern Family and this season of Arrested Development was kinda dicey.
