Almost looks like fan art. I like the LALD-esque holster, though.

Great promo image, though it's kind of lazy just to use that as a teaser. Of all the teaser posters, this might probably be among the weakest. The first teaser poster for SPECTRE and CASINO ROYALE remain tops.

Looking again, it's more like a GQ cover or fashion advertisement. Other than the nod to LALD and the Walther, there's nothing Bondian about it.

Kind of like a catalogue picture meets Roger Moore in Live & Let Die. Should have pushed it over the edge with a, shall we say, bigger gun.

Pretty uninspired, just like the Skyfall teaser poster, but I still dig the wardrobe.

I don't mind it… Mendes sure does like LALD..

That said, a more interesting background would've done it a lot of good. It does look like a simple magazine cover.

Boring as hell. Is that honestly the best they can do?

Mendes loves LALD. Craig's pose is good, and I like the getup, but it's not really a poster (as others have said). Looks more like a magazine cover indeed.

The teasers for CR and SF remain the coolest.

I agree. The pose is good. The costume is good. But the background is dull. The background was what made the CR teaser so evocative, so it's a surprise to me that EON haven't followed up on it.

Seems a bit strange they release that first and then refer to the next one as the "first" teaser poster.

The poster isn't being as well received as some of the previous teaser posters for Craig's films. I've looked at several other websites and the general response in their talk-back section is "Meh."

Truthfully, I like this poster as much as any of the other Craig posters (which isn't saying much). I got exactly what I expected from this publicity department (minimalism). There's nothing particularly creative or ingenious about the poster. It's not evocative of anything,and it doesn't shed a single bit of insight into the movie that someone already didn't possess.

I've actually seen some fan art that is much more interesting than this poster. One poster that I can't seem to find (but may be in this forum somewhere) has a picture of a white cat, a reflection of Bond in the eye, and a tagline sort of like 'Bond isn't the only one who is back'. I'd take THAT any day of the week over what we're getting. For $350 million dollars you'd think we'd get more effort into the poster, but seeing as how this is Craig's 4th film, there were no surprises.

He looks good. He looks fit. I like the font. I like the pose. But there's nothing spectacular here. The days of teaser posters like the one of Roger Moore hanging off the Eiffel Tower in a tux with May Day looming behind him, or Dalton, gun in hand, with the tagline : "His bad side is a dangerous place to be" are all gone, never to be brought back. In its place are stripped down, bare bones, magazine cover-like photos that are barely passable.

Is anyone else amused that he is wearing an Archer-style tactle-neck?

The obvious reference they are going for is McQueen in Bullitt, but it's still funny that they stumbled upon a recognizable image from the most popular current Bond spoof that way.
