Favourite non-Bond movies which featured a Bond actor.

Tonight I'm going to roll up on the couch and watch The Wild Geese. Roger Moore was a hardened badass in this one, you learn that right away early on in the film after he makes a criminal eat a bag of cocaine (or heroin?) the way I'd eat sherbert. According to Wiki, there was some criticism of the movie being filmed in South Africa during the apartheid era. Roger Moore had already been heavily criticised for making two previous films there. I'll get lazy now and copy and paste more Wiki....

The Wild Geese is a British 1978 film about a group of PMC mercenaries in Africa. It stars Richard Burton, Roger Moore, Richard Harris and Hardy Krüger. The film was the result of a long-held ambition of its producer Euan Lloyd to make an all-star adventure film similar to The Guns of Navarone or Where Eagles Dare.

I'd say Moore's best film is The Man Who Haunted Himself, which unfortunately doesn't get a lot of recognition but it's certainly one of my favourites. Those who doubt his acting credentials should see it as he turns in an excellent performance. And he felt himself that it was "one of the few times when I was allowed to act".

Definitely SPICE WORLD.

Sadly, the only non-Bond films I've seen of Roger Moore are that one, Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (My grandma likes to see movies with dogs in them, what can I say?), and Boat Trip....

Agreed on the last three. Never saw that Moore flick, I've been eager to see THE HILL.

KNIVES OUT and STAR WARS Episode VII THE FORCE AWAKENS with Craig.

So many Connery faves:
his 70s triple crown of WIND & LION, MAN WHO and ROBIN&MARIAN, plus THE HILL

Really like everything about WILD GEESE, Rog included (and while I wish Robert Shaw had been around to do FFOLKES, Moore is okay in that too.)

Haven't seen Lazenby in anything else.

Dalton: Really like him in HOT FUZZ and HAWKS as well as LION IN WINTER and he looks fantastic in DR & THE DEVILS.

Broz: TAILOR OF PANAMA rules, along with T CROWN. Good in GHOST WRITER too, though it has been so long I don't even remember his part!

Craig: well ... he is effective in PERDITION but still very hard on the eyes. He was okay in MUNICH. My wife says he is good in some movie where he is sleeping with a much older unglamorous woman.
