I get swept away by Christmas...
... And by the holiday season too!
How do we all celebrate Christmas?

I work in retail so it's a constant, battering slog to Christmas Eve (Christmas Day is my one day off that week) whilst intermittingly listening to a selection of my albums on my phone. We have songs being blasted at us all day, three or four versions of the same three or four songs (I have heard four versions of White Christmas) all seemingly within a half hour period.
But we're angling towards a liquor filled New Years Eve that hopefully ends better than the last one. And a festive viewing of OHMSS somewhere in the middle.

Be thankful it isn't Do You Know How Christmas Trees Are Grown (though admittedly, it has grown on me a lot in recent years)!
I'll be fitting in an OHMSS myself too.
Being from a big European family, most of the festive season will be spent visiting or receiving people. But between a couple of scotches and aperol spritz' I'll be ok!
Here's some Nina for us all as we move into December.

Festive season viewings of OHMSS and the first 2 Die Hards are traditions for me.

Reminds me of the meme:
It's definitely a Christmas film though.

Oddly I find this is the time of year to watch Groundhog Day. Despite it's February setting.
Voted for the market. In line with the book but the noise of the place, the festive setting, the music, Bond's hunted look and Tracy coming to the rescue. Blofeld decorating the tree is surreal.

Voted Blofeld decorating the tree. Something strangely sinister about it as he says "in a few hours, the United Nations will receive, my Yuletide greeting"

For once I agree with you.
That's not to say Christmas Jones herself doesn't deserve a vote.

OHMSS is the Christmas Bond movie as far as I'm concerned.
That said, Bond tucking into a moist Christmas turkey in TWINE is also festive.

Market for me ... Bond pre-empting the bit of free space in most city centres this time of year being full of stalls knocking out pricey food, drink and crafts.

Surprised Lazenby slipped in there somehow. I guess Dalton wouldn't have participated in such nonsense!

"Eggnog on Christmas Eve. Just like home!"
I tested an eggless eggnog this year, since last year's turned out horribly. So much better and without the (admittedly low) risk of salmonella.
3 cups of milk 1 cup cream 2.5 tbs condensed milk 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, plus a little more to garnish 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (or a little more to taste) 3 tbs of cognac (or more to taste )
1. Blend all ingredients 2. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour 3. Blend again right before serving.
Looking forward to my annual OHMSS viewing with a martini and later, some eggnog.

Good luck to anyone who can be bothered putting the effort in to preparing festive drinks, I'm too lazy ... shop-bought ready-made microwaveable mulled wine is about my limit, lol.

OHMSS - check. Die Hard 2 - check Also (for me): DAF, TMWTGG, NSNA, DAD and CR 54. The Man Who Would Be King, The Enforcer, the Gauntlet, Missing in Action... Pretty much any action film I remember seeing in December.

Still holding out on OHMSS myself... Hopefully within the next week.
I'm tempted to seek out Die Hard 2, but I'm not sure I'll fit it in this year.
And I hugely respect your DAD appreciation.

DIE HARD 2 is like the low-rent version of DIE HARD. I stick to the original. Heck, I'll go for the third too, albeit that's the film that dropped the Christmas motif.

I adore DH2. Properly shot pre-CG era, dark in tone like the original, unapologetically an action film through and through, the only true sequel to the first film, gorgeous snow, Willis is still invested and McClane gets beaten up and the right quota of balls to the wall. What does it matter if it merely transposes the action to an airport? ;)
I do my Bondathon starting post Thanksgiving and then any classic with major winter scenes is usually up next especially Murder on the Orient Express. The Shop Around the Corner is a holiday must that is often forgotten. Xmas itself is reserved for Capra and this year I think I will do a big marathon in order and try not to: bawl my eyes out, realize once again that Jimmy Stewart is probably the best actor who ever lived, that the filibuster in Mr. Smith is perhaps the best moment for any actor on screen, the intricate details of It's a Wonderful Life never stop revealing themselves and swoon over Jean Arthur. Ok, these are all impossible to not do particularly the latter.

I'm hoping it's not the new Murder on the Orient Express you're talking about?
As for the above poll, HGTB, when has Bond and Christmas gelled best for you?
