- Last known photograph of Sean taken may this year...
https://www.dailystar.co.uk/showbiz/sir-sean-connerys-last-photo-22941404 That’s actually a photograph from last year. Most recent I’ve seen was one that his granddaughter posted on social media during his 90th birthday. He looked like Michael G Wilson with his weight loss. |

| Seems Sean died of heart failure due to pneumonia. |

| My father died at 90, after a stroke paralyzed his tongue. He recovered from pneumonia but with his quality of life so diminished he chose to starve to death while he still had his wits about him.
My Dad was tougher than James Bond. |

| Legendary racing driver Jackie stewart who was a close pal of Sean said "he wanted to die sooner" such a sad thing to hear but Sean had suffered for two years and was in a mess. Nice annetdote about how Sean would visit him in Switzerland and once brought Harrison ford and Steven spielberg along https://www.express.co.uk/celebrity-news/1355064/sean-connery-dead-death-jackie-stewart-good-morning-britain-GMB-video-dementia-news-latest |

| Interesting to note that on a james bond forum with 640 members only 9 paid tribute to Sean, Hilly perhaps you could enlighten us with the number of ACTIVE members at present as this number is really disappointing don't you think? |

| Without looking I can guess. Sure we have 640 members but the majority have not posted on this forum now for anywhere between 1 to 10 years. Myself and Fields (KKBB) have sent out blanket emails to all members to get them to post...Well not get them to post but encourage their return.
Also, a fair whack of registered users seem to spam accounts.
Those in between are busy with life I'd imagine. This forum's always had a very small pool of life to it in spite of our best efforts. Take solace that in reality, the users not posting frequently have and are mourning Sir Sean in their way.
In closing, I don't think I have access to exact stats showing the active active members. I'm pruning dead accounts. |

Serves me right for taking an unwanted sabbatical from the forum. A touching read. I'll have to check out Connery's favourite film of his own. |
