| Why do Herr Grunther and the other SPECTRE goons wear suits that have the Olympic emblem on them? I mean, the '68 games were held in Grenoble, France and the '72 games would be held in Sapporo, Japan. I don't get it. |

| Maybe Switzerland had tried out for the host as the games, Piz Gloria was a venue then it imploded leaving behind a surplus of uniforms.

 I always assumed it was some cover involved with the lower part of Piz Gloria being a skiing resort, an "Olympic grade" place or something. Plus, those olympic rings look like they've been well worn. So he probably used the same things for his goons in Japan post-1964 Tokyo Olympiad. ;) |

| For Blofeld to enlist Olympic gold medallist skiiers as his lackies, he first had to fake drug tests to disqualify the real winners in order to secure the services of said lackies. Thankfully, OHMSS wasn't written by Purvis and Wade, thus it has the bloody good sense not to even try explaining such unlikely concepts in the actual film, more just to leave stuff that can't be explained convincingly as floatably ambiguous.
