This is a bloody brilliant decision, Bourne or not. Albert Finney when he was younger (i.e. SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING and TOM JONES) reminded me a lot of Daniel Craig.

He should replace Dench.

He might well ... hasn't it been confirmed that this is her last Bond?

I love him but he´s too old to replace Judi. Delighted to see him in a Bond film though, it´s about bloody time.

The Bourne connection is irrelevant - in those films he's playing an evil mastermind. And most punters will remember him as Erin Brokovich's boss anyway.

I think Finney would have been more convincing in the most OTT moments, including the famous "Mad as hell" monologue. Finch is best when subtle.

Exactly my line of thought. Subconsciously anyway.

Definitely good to see Finney in a Bond film. Something to look forward to.

Very interesting move. I'd love to see a more political tone on this one. Perhaps a rule violation by Dench's M will be a good story for her to let the role to Finney.

For me the most welcomed casting news till now.

Albert Finney in God Mode. I love it.

I really need to see MILLER'S CROSSING.

I've not seen that film thus his most impressive role to this reporter is Churchill in Gathering Storm. All the same he'll bring a touch of class to Bond.

I actually met and spoke to Albert Finney when we was filming that in, back in '01.

I was in a trip to London with my dad and some mates, and they were shooting a big scene scene with lots of extras and mock vintage cars, just near Bank station, where Threadneedle St. meets King William St. and Cornhill.
