| Hope nobody took their celebrations for granted, since this is the last time we'll ever get to celebrate the turning of a new year and all. |

you been reading the Mayan calendar again? Yup. The Mayan calendar is a great read. The Mayan calendar and Kali Yuga (ancient India) calendar were both created around the same time around 5,000 years ago and both predict a 'rebirth' of the planet in a time-frame that's been calculated to be December 2012. Interesting that the ancient Sumerians could read the stars without the help of telescopes, yet when they were invented, the world was declared flat and the center of the Universe. I bet ancient sex was more interesting back then too than in medieval times...in medieval times, people thought water carried plagues and refused to bathe...anyone who was into cunnilingus was not having a nice day.... |

| From what I've read, all the Mayan calendar says is that a cycle is ending and that there isn't any real hint of radical change to be expected. |

I'm guessing Richard Couer de Lion rarely went down on Eleanor of Aquitaine. |

Everyone knows Eleanor had an abominable yeast infection. Speaking of which, I spent my New Years at the Gold Coast. Surprisingly I came back alive, tatooless and with my teeth and wallet in tact, but I did spend NYE and the night before being stalked by a chick I fiddled in a nightclub on my first night in town. Nutter. |
