Nothing ever stops slash, least of all the introduction of a female character. It just leads to 'denial' fic ;)

In fact it tends to get more aggressive when that happens.

Oh Slash.

Rave - how did you feel about the ending btw with Irene?

Fact.
So I'm not ignoring you - haven't seen it but apparently the Moff and Godtiss are fans of that. In case you wanted to know.

I didn't have any strong feelings either way about the ending. I suppose, if I have to dissect it, it was a bit too 'neat' to have Sherlock on hand to rescue her. She should have lived, definitely, but whether he rescued her would be a different question.

Regarding her 'beating' him, it wouldn't be Sherlock if anyone completely beat him. It's just that she came the closest.

What I find most curious is Moriarty, who does seem to be a borderline dysfunctional psychopath, as opposed to Holmes' functioning one. The dramatic gurnings, the florid language of threats - it doesn't really quite fit with Moriarty to me.

You won't find much of Mycroft in the original canon, by the way. And he never leaves his club, Diogenes, if I remember aright. Been a fair few years since I read the originals.

Mmmm, yeah I have been made aware of this which makes me love our BBC!Mycroft even more.

And yeah that is my thoughts - actually watching it with my parents really won me over (I liked it but my dissecting skills were not), because of how they responded. And all in all it wash't bad, just clever and fun.

See I didn't think BBC!Moriarty was out of character from how they potrayed him TGG.

The ending with Holmes magically being there was slightly iffy. Waiting to hear the slice of flesh and instead...well the moans of it.

For a while the only Mycroft I recalled was in the Brett episodes. I don't remember much from the books but he didn't have much to do I don't think. Definitely no plane-load of corpses.

That's ryanair for you though

Indeedy. Should be fairly up there and a bit of a rum do. Very slight tweak of the title compared to others. This and Reichenbach will be interesting. More so the latter if they do a follow up series and how Holmes returns. One can only imagine Mycroft post-Reichenbach Falls.

exactly. Though sometimes you can have too much of a good thing. I dread honestly a time when that's the case with Sherlock but some things can only remain ascendant for so long. At least three more yet to come. Still we could get some more. Christmas special...some crossover...etc

I'm just hoping this isn't the end of the whole thing. Another series at least, please!

Bloody Peter Jackson knocked Being Human on the head, although the writing on that was getting a bit lame towards the end, it has to be said. But Sherlock hasn't missed a beat since the start. It's brilliant. I hate to see it finish.

I'd be happy with one more season afterwards.

It would be nice. / what time is it over in England atm? How much longer until the Hound?
