Hope it is. Burton's as his best when he does dark comedy. i.e. BEETLEJUICE, ED WOOD and MARS ATTACKS! |

| Those who have seen DARK SHADOWS make a lot of BEETLEJUICE references, though I also think a bit of MARS ATTACKS when watching that trailer. Burton turned it into an all-out comedy. The reviews, thus far, have all been very positive, saying that DARK SHADOWS is very funny.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't kinda want to see it. |

| Sounds like a perfect match for me. Tim Burton back to form and Eva Green in her goth-chick element. |

| Eh, it really doesn't remind me of the TV series at all. That's my main issue. But maybe his source material was the '91 revival series. |

| Don't really give a shit about the source. |

| The potential howls of outrage from fans at this being a comedy rather than a 'straight' adaptation ... didn't the show end up so absurd that it was impossible to take seriously anyway? |

Agreed, here she looks rather like a sickly waxworks of Heather Graham and remains a very dreary screen presence.. That said I am quite looking forward to Burtons 'Dark Shadows'. |
