| I like the way Daniel Craig's face gets all knotted when he smiles. Out of curiosity (not saying he's one of a kind or anything), can you think of any other faces that do the same thing? Alternatively, you can share how you think Craig looks like he lost an acid fight. |

| Jackie Chan. I see some strong resemblance, but I think I'm the only one who can see it.. |

| There are no mirrors left in Chez Craig.
His face is positively Flemingesque. |

Alternatively, you can share how you think Craig looks like he lost an acid fight. Is he actually smiling or is his face just drying out? |

| This Daniel Craig fellow would make an excellent henchman in the Red Grant / Necros mold. EON ought to cast him as something along those lines someday. . . oh wait . . . |

| Unfortunately I also have a similarly what I like to call "stern" face. Any positive emotional expression on my face is starting to create crevasses that people can get lost in. I'm 21. I can't wait to see what it'll be in 10 years |

| Caig would make a good Bond-villain henchman. An Oddjob type pitbull for the viillain to sick on Bond. As for Craig's face getting all knotted when he smiles, he could benefit from some men's skin care products. Anti-wrinkle moisturizers might work. All that knotting of the skin will only encourage wrinkle-lines setting in. He'll look 80 by the time he's 50 and probably still be playing Bond. God help us. |

| Seriously, if it was 1962 and you were reviewing actor photos to cast Bond, would this picture even get consideration? I think I'd I'd set it aside to play Sluggsy Morant, for when we got around to shooting the book version of TSWLM. He'd scare the crap out of poor Vivienne until Bond (played by a guy that looked like Bond) came to the rescue.. |

It would if Babs was around in 1962 with her nipples sticking out so hard they could play an LP record. Incidentally, wasn't it Dana Broccoli who lobbied for Connery after both Cubby and Fleming himself thought he was unsuitable? Fleming called him an overgrown stuntman. To me, that's worse than any of the criticism ever levelled at Craig, when the original Bond source craps on you... |

I believe you're right, though to me this just points out Fleming's weaknesses, as well as why, much as I love Fleming, I still prefer reading Arthur Conan Doyle or C. S. Forester when I'm in the mood for some light fiction. Fleming's preose, even at it's best, is surprisingly uncinematic. He clearly knew nothing about movies, as evidenced by how quickly he changed his mind about Connery. Already, in OHMSS (written while DN was being filmed in Jamaica), Fleming has Bond become Scottish and even name-drops Ursula Andress. |

| I think Fleming would've known how he imagined his own character, though.
Connery's cool obviously convinced Fleming and the producers. |
