| This one is a bit more difficult to pick for me. I like all of them, with Dr. No, On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Casino Royale standing out the most.
Dr. No and Casino Royale make great introductions of Connery and Craig, but the films themselves aren't nearly as good as they could have been. I enjoy the original novels much more, I especially enjoy Dr. No's novel way more than the flick. On Her Majesty's Secret Service is a better film than the two, but it's lead doesn't hold up with everything else surrounding him. Watching Lazenby and Diana Rigg together is like watching a young boy and a grown woman. She could kick his ass.
With all this in mind, I'm just gonna vote for CASINO ROYALE just to go against the anti-Craig sentiment this forum seems to have leaned on. Deal with it. |

| Not sure which I'll pick... 4 of the 6 options are in my top 10...
1. Dr. No (Low key yet grandeur. Connery's best performance as Bond, very 60s, very sleek) On Her Majesty's Secret Service (If I'm super critical, a stronger lead may have improved it, but I'm from the camp who thinks Lazenby made an excellent Bond) Goldeneye (Everything gels together nicely and a whole lot of fun) 2. The Living Daylights (Again, being super critical, but it would be with the other four films had it been shot with the same zest and colour as the 60s Bond films). 3. Live and Let Die (contends with DAD as my least favourite, but it has its moments too!)
I still need to decide... |

| 1. OHMSS 2. Casino Royale 3. Dr. No 4. The Living Daylights 5. GoldenEye 6. Live and Let Die
The first five are all excellent, IMO. And I find it actually hard to compare Dr. No, TLD, and GE - they're about equally strong, but of course there's the Sean Connery factor. |

| DN, OHMSS, & TLD are all up there in my rankings.
For the top spot in this poll it'll probably come down to either Connery or Dalton's debut. DN is a terrific adaptation of Fleming's work and has all the colour and panache of a 60's Bond. But I may lean just ever so slightly to TLD, a film I've loved since I was a young'un. |

| 1. On Her Majesty's Secret Service 2. Live and Let Die 3. Dr. No 4. The Living Daylights 5. Goldeneye (Favorite of all 6) 6. Casino Royale (Lead by to much feeling to get 24 subject in a Bond movie and big part of the respect from 20 earlier movies is gone.) |

Yeah, it's not letting me vote, either... Finally settled on GE, seeing as though it needs more support. |

| As Bond films.
1. OHMSS 2. DN 3. TLD 4. CR 5. LALD 6. GE
OHMSS and DN are quite close for me.
For the actors.
1. Sean Connery in DR. NO. Still my favorite Bond performance. He's a lethal man on a mission while retaining a sense of class.
2. Timothy Dalton in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS. Really nails it right out of the gate. One of my favorite Bond performances.
3. Daniel Craig in CASINO ROYALE. I have qualms with the writing, and qualms with Craig's height, and hair, and face, etc. But I think he's very engaging in the role and has a swagger that Dalton didn't.
4. George Lazenby in ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE. I'm putting him over Moore in LALD on the basis of effort. He really tried, that guy. He wasn't an actor, and he was it was the worst possible fit film-wise, but he has some moments and I think he shows some potential. If only he'd been introduced in a film that relied on action rather than drama. The people who think this guy is Marlon &^%$in' Brando I'll never understand. He was wrong for the film, but he seems to give it his all.
5. Roger Moore in LIVE AND LET DIE. Adequate.
6. Pierce Brosnan in GOLDENEYE. Ugh. Too green. No sand. Primping. Comes off as narcissistic and wimpy.

| LALD, because a small man of limited means who lost a fight with a chicken needs at least one vote. OHMSS, Dr. No, LALD, TLD, GE, CR |

| It's simple, CR is the winner here. It is the best Bondfilm with quite a huge margain, it just sets everything right and put's Bond back in the reality and in the popular culture! But everyone's first is good though.
1) Casino Royale #1 2) The Living Daylights #3 3) On Her Majesty's Secret Service #7 4) Goldeneye #10 5) Dr. No #12 6) Live And Let Die #16 |
