3:08 - Picard is Brosnan in TND.
Jesus, "Endgame" is better.
Shinzon's gonna cut you, bitch.
Elaborate mechanism of death!
Shinzon impales by comparison.
"Who are you?"
"I'm the Alpha Quadrant's reckoning."
Data's gonna die and I don't even give a shit.
Data just got dead and I don't even give a shit.
It looks like nobody on the bridge really gives a shit. Boy, is the cast bringing it. Can't blame 'em.
Troi started crying, I wanted to laugh. Frakes rambles through some "poignant" dialogue. Half the cast got fat.
Ah, the Riker Walk, where his head goes in a weird direction. Anyone know what I mean?

Star Trek: Nemesis
TNG Era goes out not with a bang, but with a whimper.

Yeah, that head tilt thing huh? It's like he's walking in Hobbit land.
SFdebris makes a great point about how NEMESIS trying to be THE WRATH OF KHAN for TNG is redundant because FIRST CONTACT sorta already went there and did it better. The Borg is Picard's true nemesis and nightmare, not some fucking skinhead with a grudge (why does he hate Picard and humanity? It should be the Romulans he truly despises!). I gotta give Tom Hardy some props for trying hard to make something good out of his role, even though the awful script was never going to allow anything about Shinzon to work. It's nice he recovered from that and is making himself a name these days.
Oh yeah, and at my work I saw a DVD that was recently released. JIMMY KIRK VS. SHINZON.
Guess they needed a new house in Malibu. Besides, I can buy Witherspoon going for those two than Sparkle Boy.
EDIT: Wait, it's by McG. Fuck it. And fuck Hollywood for still hiring him.

Do they fight over Reese Witherchin? Eck, who would do that? She looks like a gremlin to me.

I long ago noticed the Riker Walk, not so much the head position but the way the body seems to be at odds to itself. Like he's leaning into a wind or leaning with a view to suddenly breaking into a cartoon like run.

At a con a fan asked him what the difference between Frakes and Riker was. Frakes answered: "Well, for one thing, Frakes doesn't walk like this..." and launched into the Riker Walk.

TAS: "The Lorelei Signal"
Goofy episode. It's a little known fact that this episode originated as a spec script titled "The j7wild Complex" by Paul Kinsey.

Remains Nichelle Nichols' favourite episode for obvious reasons.

TAS: "More Tribbles, More Troubles"
A comedic belly flop IMHO.

Of all Star Trek? Well, it makes sense. There was a scene with three people talking to each other and they were all voiced by Nichols. When Uhura and Chapel are in sickbay, Uhura talks to some peeps in the com.

Why the fuck didn't Shinzon just go into reverse?
And how many Enterprise crew members did Picard just fucking kill with his stunt?
Oh, NOW Shinzon thinks to go into reverse!
Once they're stuck together, going in reverse will just pull both ships backward. If he wanted to pull FREE, he'd've had to fire forward on one and reverse on the other, then switch those round and do it again, until he unstuck the two ships. Would have been much more visually exciting as well as being more credible (not that NEM is known for either.)
Also think that Data should have told Picard SHUT UP as he put the beamer thingie on him, to tie in with what Picard told Data at the wedding ... even though that seems to have taken place months earlier, going by how slow the movie plays out.

Also just read that there may be a much LONGER version of MEASURE OF A MAN on the blu-ray. Something on the order of 20min more (presumably because the script was so talky they mistimed it?)

That is interesting. Not buying the set for it, though. Paramount prices these things so damn high. The list price for S1 is $130!!!
Back in 2007, Fry's in California had the TNG seasons for 20 each. Considered picking them up.

If THAT's a facepalm for you, wait for the Native American version of WHO MOURNS FOR ADONAIS, called HOW SHARPER THAN A SERPENT'S TOOTH.
Or BEM ... it is really only good for introducing Kirk's middle name (proving it wasn't Tomcat!)
