SKYFALL's final scene?

I think the actor/actors actresses playing Nu-M/Moneypenny have been kept under wraps. There were a few blank entries on the cast list.

I don't think Mallory's going to be M. He's in cahoots with Silva.

cahoots with Silva?! Where'd you learn this? I am out of loop.

Quite a while ago, I did float the idea that nu-MP might be simply a late walk-on by a fresh actress, but I pondered, how in this twitterverse age, can something like that stay under wraps? Casting both a new M and a new MP is huge news. These are iconic roles going forward into future films. How does one sign-up these actors and manage to sit on it all these months?

What's your opinion Shadow. If I recall you are not predicting Eve as MP, and I do hope that's the case, but still if M and MP are top-secret reveals, how is this possible? How can anything be kept secret in the twitter age?

At some point, he may remove her from her position and temporarily assume control of the agency. Depending on what Fiennes wants to do - ie if he wants to commit to a multi-film deal - Mallory can either be retained as M or easily written out.

That works. What are your thoughts on nu-MP. Do you think there might be an end-of-film mystery walk-on, that we fans haven't caught wind of yet?

Another idea that came to me, is that if Eve is not MP, Eon could leave it vague, ie we simply become aware of her. We see her, but not too clearly, or M simply talks to her on the intercom, and all we get is her voice.

This technique would introduce the character but also leave the casting decision wide open.

I of course am brazenly speculating, but the MP connundrum is just that. If its not Eve, than who, damn it?! :x

I have a feeling that whatever's in the black box that Bond hands Eve is the "smoking gun" that will incriminate Mallory. Possibly fuelled by the death of M.

I don't think that's likely. Word's about that when Bond captures Silva on his island along with his computers, and locks him in London, he escapes too easily from the heavily guarded underground cell. Mallory must have given him some kind of map.
