- ScreenRant: What about 3D? I’m certainly not recommending it, but with movies like this, it’s somewhat becoming an expectation.
Babs: I think probably more in what you want to do. I think more in horror and science fiction, stuff like that. I think they’re more suited to 3D than these, really. We’re in IMAX, which we’re very excited about and I think that experience will be great. Not quite ready for 3D yet. If EON ever do consider jumping to a new format, true IMAX film would be better. |

| I'm with Babs. 3D is for CGI porn. For me it adds nothing to a film and often subtracts. |

| She makes a point that it only works for certain spectacles like horror and sci-fi, where it's all just gimmicks. Bond films are spectacles but have more focus on story and character and 3D isn't gonna make improvements on that front. It's nice that few folks in the film business like Babs and Nolan are not being swayed by the 3D craze.
Heck, while I always like to crack a joke about EON only being interested in money, her comments kind of suggest the opposite. 3D makes more money, so you'd think producer would jump for that. But then again she's a woman, so hookers and coke are probably not on the table for her. Maybe Craig's blue snuggies. |

Her trackrecord belies the statement that she has no clue. |

| Babs speaks the truth. I've never been overly fond of 3D anyway, always end up having the headache from hell right after. |

| I'm no devotee of 3D (haven't seen a movie in 3D in 30 years), but apparently Ang Lee has really pushed it in creative artful ways on LIFE OF PI. Not sure that I want to see it (hate animal eating animal type stuff) but will be interested in hearing about it.
Obviously something like the SPY snow chase would be striking in 3D, so I think it could work for Bond, especially if they eventually abandon the path they've been on since CR. |
