I'm kinda happy that this has finally happened, but I'm very bummed that they're not actually getting John Milius to make his KING CONAN script.

Hell yeah.
Well, to be honest, I thought Destroyer was somewhat shit, but Barbarian is probably my favourite sword-and-sorcery flick. Nevertheless, always wanted to see Arnold make a third.
Shame Poledouris is no longer with us though.

Yeah, as awesome as this theoretically is, it's not just Schwarzenegger who needs to be onboard. That's what Destroyer proved. It needs to be Schwarzenegger AND Milius. And ideally Poledouris, unfortunately.

Today's Milius may not remotely resemble the old Milius in terms of creativity. Certainly Nick Meyer doesn't seem to have the same with-it ness, to name just one who was on his game at the time Milius was.
I don't know who could make the Conan pic magical, but maybe it just needs to be.

Is Marc Forster busy? I want to see a Conan film that addresses the water shortage in Zamora and that shows us how Conan is a bad guy who needs to become a communist.

True. I feel like the kind of badass, take-no-prisoners, toss-a-naked-witch-into-a-fire-and-watch-her-burn manliness of the original movie wouldn't be allowed today. We'd need to see Conan's true inner remorse for killing all the horrible people.

I liked Jason Momoa's recent Conan when copared with Arnolds.
There must be a way to combine them in a tale of past and future. You know camp and kick-arse in one movie.
