True. Though it's funny to contrast that episode of the Saint that served as an unofficial Persuaders pilot. He races the other chap 'to' Monte Carlo and it's clearly English countryside, where in Overture you have two flash motors in the Cote d'Azur.

All this Saint talk makes me want to find the show. ITVplayer is useless.

I really enjoy the stories where the Saint helps " The little Guy" like a poor farmer who some big company is trying to grab his land and the Saint puts over a con. I find watching The Saint simply makes me feel good.

Just noticed tonight watching The Saint " The Noble Sportsman " in which Anthony Quale plays a wealthy sportsman who’s life is threatened. The curious thing is he Drives an Aston Martin with a familiar number plate BMT 216A ?

The aston has the same number plate as goldfinger because it is the same car the db5 prototype used in the saint before it was adapted with gadgets for goldfinger the same car also appeared with roger again in the cannon ball run although by then it had a different number plate given to it when aston martin resold it after the bond film

That's interesting. I don't recall seeing the Quayle episode (a fan of his all the same). Looks like Aston got their moneys worth -a popular film series and a fairly popular TV series.

I've just received the Blu-ray of the Department S series. I'm really looking forward to re-watching this series.

Picture quality on the Dept S Blu-ray is amazing, and in One episode Jason King mentions one of his characters from one of his Mark Caine novels a Miss .... Hussy Abundance

I recently started re-watching the series and it reignited my undying love of the character. I need to finally read all the novels. Thankfully the reprint of the series is done and on Amazon. Only it doesn't have the first story Meet the Tiger which I'll have to track down.
