| I love the opening interior shot of the hall in which Kronsteen and McAdam are having their chess match. I believe it is in Venice. At any rate, this is as close as I could come, image-wise. |

| A great point in the film, Control. The suspense and tension are at a very high level. |

| Slightly off topic, who are we to believe killed Kerim in the Fleming book. I don't think his murder was portrayed quite the same way as it was in the film.
Come to think of it who killed who in the film? I think it was Grant that did the killing and that he staged the scene or was it? Amazing. I've read the book a few times, watched the film a zillion times and yet these details are hazy. Some things slip by I guess.
===My favourite shot would be the scene where the pigeon flock takes off with much flourish. I very much appreciate the friendly rock-dove bird species.
I live downtown. These birds are everywhere. I even rescue the odd stricken one I find, and take it to the wildlife shelter.
My favourite scene though is the Bond/Grant fight. Love watching Connery/Bond fight, especially when he is somewhat overmatched. |

| I love the violet light. IIRC, Benz and Kerim killed one another in the book, and Grant was the killer in the film, but I could easily be wrong. PS--The Khantessa has saved a few stricken doves, pigeons and other birds in her day. She seems to be a magnet for animals in distress. God love her. |

That is my impression at first blush as well. God bless the Khantessa. The poor birds are helpless without their wings. FYI, for anyone trying to catch a stricken bird, rather than chasing it and terrorizing it as it tries to run away, the simplest way to catch them and approved by wildlife shelters is this: simply throw a towel over the bird. It will immediately freeze. They don't try to escape or even make a fuss when they blinded like that. Then you simply gently pick it up while its under the towel, put it in a pail or box or whatever and transport it to the local wildlife shelter. Be careful though to keep the towel in place. As soon as it sees daylight it will try to escape. how pigeons keep warm in colder climes. The barbarian Red Grant enjoying red wine with fish. Bond looking suitably unimpressed. The red wine faux pas should have been a dead giveaway. |

| Bond seems to nurse a strong distaste for "Nash," practically from the outset. He smelled a mouse when he should have smelled a rat. |

"Nash" was a real dick with all that "old man" stuff. I'm not even British but I knew that was overplayed. And he had a pigeon-toed walk too. Bond should have shot him right there at the table. |

| 'Movie Grant' gets off comparatively lightly to 'book Grant', IMHO ... no expert in these things but strangulation sounds preferable to bleeding to death, if one had to choose. |

| For me it is either the look on Connery's face when he first confronts Tania after Kerim's death, or the 'too cool' expression on his mug as the belly dancer undulates around him.
Where do you guys find the images, anyway? is there a Bond equivalent to the TREKCORE site?

| I just do Google Image searches. I would do Bing Image searches, but this is one area where I think Google is more exhaustive. |
