| Really enjoyed Night Terrors - it had the scares (I did a genuine 'AAHHHHH!!' when the creepy doll lurched in from left of frame and grabbed the nasty landlord), the chuckles (who'd have thought that the Doctor would be outfoxed by a Rubik's Cube?) and the poignancy ('I don't care what you are ... you're still my son').
Brilliant. :) |

| Just saw 'The Girl Who Waited' - I love Amy/Rory. A nice episode indeed and I feel it will be one will grow on people. It speaks bounds about their relationship, and I love the ... well spoilers. I'll say more later. |

| Just saw it too. Amy Pond Senior does the scene from 300.
But the question in my mind is...how come River Song never saved her either? Like in 36 years. |

| Because River didn't know. Simple.
And timey-wimey stuff. You have to remember as well with time travel I could say meet Rave, the travel in time which for me could take five minutes but for Rave take ten years to see me again. / and as Rave pointed out 'timey wimey stuff'.
As technically that Older!Amy timeline never happened. It never ever happened because younger!Amy got saved.
Time travel is confusing. |

| So I'm re-watching The Eleventh Hour and can I just say I love the way Smith and young!Amy act together. The fish custard and crack scene ... and that promise are made of heartwarming. I truly love it. |

| I wasn't sure about Matt Smith when they made the announcement, but he won me over completely with the fish fingers and custard. I've been in love with him ever since.
In fact, he's probably my favourite Doctor ever. Which is quite something. |

| He is my fave.
A brilliant Doctor. He really hit the ground running in that episode.
"And then I grew up" - Amy "You never want to do that" - Doctor
He is the best.
And when he pulls out the apple, in the trust me again scene. And that moment of realisation with the sun flare.
And the trust me for 20 minutes - trust Matt for 20 mins to rock as the Doctor. AWWWWWW! I WUV HIM! |

| Didn't see tonight's when it went out, but will catch it on the iPlayer. Agree with the Matt Smith appreciation ,,. he's brilliant :)
I truly do love NuWho ... quirky, eccentric, funny, scary, moving - and on a Saturday evening at teatime, for God's sake. Long may it continue. |

| Okay so THE GOD COMPLEX.
The concept is brilliant. I love the way the Doctor's plan of conquer your fears is subverted hard in this episode. His usual weapons, his usual way to get people over things is turned against him and everyone starts dying. It is frankly tragic, the fear is the lest of your concern. The side characters were nice - I liked Rita. She was nice - sorta reminded me of Martha also though I bank that up to the medical student thing, and how in Martha's first episode she was thinking very logically like everything and so was Rita.
Also further proof that Rory is a Badass - though I have to say it did niggle me a little. The fact he isn't superstitious, is so logical etc. He takes no nonesense, andyet at the same time I wish we could've seen what keeps Rory going. Maybe then again he just has faith in himself and that isn't something you can really worship I guess ... mmmmm, though love Rory.
Amy and her hero worship. I kept thinking back to THE GIRL WHO WAITED when I watched this, thinking of the older!Amy who lost her faith in the Doctor (kinda, not completely) and named the robot Rory, and her faith was placed in him, and so when we went back to Amy's love for the Doctor it was a tad annoying. It feels like it just keeps rearing its head. Then again we have to remember in this timeline the Doctor literally is a fairytale (the way Amy brought him back), and hopefully from this she can move on from being the 7yrold girl waiting. Because it really does bring up the whole 'the Doctor will figure out' my friends have criticised her off, and that really hit me here.
Onto the Doctor - you goddamn idiot. His fear hasn't been conquered. He has such a God Complex himself, and I hope he can just ... move on. He won't though. On a whole him leaving the Ponds won't work well and he's really just going to come crawling back after his guilt trip ... then again he really does have a reason to feel this. The analogy of the sweets stuck in my mind. He can't stop himself ...
... which leads us into next week's episode with CRAIG! HE'S BACK! WITH CYBERMEN! |

| Part of me wondered whether the whole set-up of people dying without him being able to stop it, and the God Complex itself, wasn't more the Doctor's bete noir than anything he'd find in a room. |

| Good ep ... a monster who 'fed' on people's faith in something/someone was an intriguing concept.
Anyone else think that the Doctor's unseen 'thing' in his room was maybe himself? |

| That would seem logical I have to say, BI. He does hate himself - and if you remember back to AMY'S CHOICE with the Dream Lord being a representation of his dark side.
so much self hate, dear doctor |

| I definitely thought it was himself. I thought Valeyard.
But then I've been waiting a few years for the return of the Valeyard ;)
But going back through to The Runaway Bride, the Doctor does fear himself. If he's not got someone there to remind him to show compassion. It's always good when they bring out his alien side. It's much more interesting.
And I loved that his room was number 11!
But what is going on with the Rubik's cube? They keep cropping up. Last time, the Doctor said he couldn't stand them and never knew how to do them. This time, he did it. |

| The Rubik's Cube .... mmmmmmm .... good point, Rave.
/ what exactly is the Valeyard? I know its like some evil future version or something but like I still don't get it (probs because I only know nuWho)
And yeah - love it when you show how different he really is. Also the room number for Amy was 7 --> when she met the Doctor. |

| Voted for Patrick Troughtman. No other actor's come close to giving the Doctor a sense of madness.
I believe this will be my first and last post in this God forsaken thread. |
