Mark Strong almost starred in SKYFALL

Mark Strong has revealed that he almost appeared in Skyfall - and that he may star in a future James Bond film.

The Welcome To The Punch actor admitted there had been talk of him joining his good friend and 007 star Daniel Craig, the godfather of Mark's son Roman, in Sam Mendes' film.

"We nearly got together on Skyfall, but watch this space, I say. I don't know," he said.

The 49-year-old added: "It would be great and I would love to do that. We will have to see what gets written."

As a fellow MI6 agent or another ally of some sort, could be good ... he's probably on the verge of playing too many bad guys.

I'd guess he was up for Fiennes' part. Or maybe Patrice.

I'd agree with this, at worse maybe play off his villain status as a diversionary tactic, in the vein of Kristatos-Columbo.

He looks a lot like the dude who played Patrice.
