| I'll start. My favorite movie connected to Joss Whedon, aside from SERENITY, is ALIEN RESURRECTION. To be honest, I'm not really a Whedon fan outside of FIREFLY/SERENITY, and THE AVENGERS didn't do it for me. But ALIEN RESURRECTION I enjoy as a zany, Saturday morning cartoon cocktail of the first three Alien movies. |

| I enjoy TEMPLE OF DOOM more than any of the other Indy movies, and I acknowledge that RAIDERS is the better film. |

I can dig that. The Shanghai sequence is my favorite from the Indy series. |

| RETURN OF THE JEDI is my favourite STAR WARS movie (although I realize EMPIRE is the better film). I've always really liked STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE. I hate Abrams's Trek. THE TRIAL is my favourite Welles film.
I like Soderbergh's SOLARIS far more than the Russian one. |

I'm Reform. *ba-jewm-tish!* Anyway, I see Indy has been brought up and I must say that I've always found Raiders of the Lost Ark to be, for the most part, boring as batshit. |

I can get behind that, while The Last Crusade is my personal favorite of the series I never fail to find enjoyment by popping Temple of Doom in. - Fairbairn-Sykes wrote:

Return of the Jedi is my personal favorite of the series as well. - |

It is actually my favourite Star Trek movie, the usual poster boy 'Wrath of Khan' is one of my least...I also Liked Star Trek: Nemesis. I much prefer 'To Have and Have Not' to Casablanca. I love Close Encounters of the Third Kind but find ET pretty dreadful. Hobbits and Dwarves....why are they the worse aspects of any film they appear in? |

I have a friend, not overly a Bond fan, and he said that the "best Bond film never made" was the GI:JOE movie. I said it was probably NORTH BY NORTHWEST. |

| I think my perspective comes from becoming familiar with the James Bond books before the films. Although there are fantastical element in the books, Fleming's style is journalistic and low key; breasts apart, the books are written more like detective novels than lurid fantasy. |

| For all the attention lavished on other aspects of production, editing and sound design can make or break a film.
FIRST BLOOD is one of the best movies of the 80's.
Until ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA, Leone's movies got progressively worse.
Watching movies on a 5" screen can still be enjoyable and on par with watching on most home setups. |

| I saw bits of the bigass musical film MORE OR LES MISERABLE. Tom Hooper strikes me as having absolutely no eye as a filmmaker. |

Certainly no eye for the ladies. Flat chested t***. EDIT: Seeems I have inadvertently posted about Hooper's taste in wristwatches. |

Comic books don't have to be lurid fantasies, they can work with Bond. FYEO only was adapted quite well in 1981 by Marvel Comics. |

| THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK is a bore, as indeed are STAR WARS and RETURN OF THE JEDI for the most part. The prequels are severely underrated, especially ATTACK OF THE CLONES, and REVENGE OF THE SITH is probably the best of all six STAR WARS films to date. |

| Once Upon a Time in the West is overlong and a bit of a bore.
I loathe pretty much every Quentin Tarantino film though I didn't hate Inglourious Basterds.
Batman Begins is the best of Nolan's Batman trilogy.
The Last Crusade is the most enjoyable of the Indiana Jones trilogy. (I don't count the last one.)
Star Wars, as a whole, is vastly overrated.
I don't find any of Martin Scorsese's films interesting. |

And I hate Terence Malick's films. |
