| Chris Nolan's next directorial venture, Interstellar is "inspired by the theories of theoretical physicist and astrophysicist Kip Thorne," and the film “depicts a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest borders of our scientific understanding” and features “explorers [who] travel through a wormhole.”
Anne Hathaway joins Matthew McConaughey on the cast.

Fanboys oughta love this one. |

| They're already proclaiming it the best film of 2014 and all cinematic history. |

| I'd like a Nolan film where he uses NONE of the actors he worked with in previous films. I'll be surprised if Michael Caine isn't getting his paycheck with this. |

| I'm sorta tickled at the thought of Matthew McConaughey joining Nolan's repertory company.
I'll wait and see what happens. |

It sounds interesting, but it probably won't look interesting if Nolan's directing. And Anne Hathaway is in talks to star, so it's another detractor for me. Still, will wait for the trailer and all that before passing judgements... |

Michael Caine is one of those actors who's turned a caricature of his former self. Edward Fox is another. |

Pass. No, it's about McCounaghey going into space and being sucked through a wormhole, ending up in a corner of the universe that is about as far away from earth as possible whilst still being within the universe. I would like to imagine that the film has a twist ending where it is revealed that this is the punishment for poor celebrities, rather like that vignette from one of the "Treehouse of Horror" episodes of The Simpsons. |

Presumably he loses his shirt in the process. |

| I'd much prefer it if Anne Hathaway lost her shirt, but whatever. |

When you put it like that, she's probably as thoroughly repulsed by the idea of you "inspecting her" as you are by it. |

| Nolan can be interesting (if not always exciting from a purely visual standpoint) when he isn't trotting out the man in the cape, so I am intrigued by this project. |

| Nolan is walking a fine line from being a one-trick pony. I enjoyed The Dark Knight Rises, but too often it looked like a Greatest Hits package of Nolan's CV since Batman Begins. Time for him to move on to other genres and settings... as far away from generic urbania as possible. And hopefully no cameos by Caine, Freeman, Cotillard, Gordon-Levitt, etc. |

| It's a teaser, and as usual not much to comment on other than the cinematography, which looks like the usual desaturated deal from Nolan. Was that Zimmer music? |

| That crane shot of the grain blowing in the wind was shot on an IMAX camera and the guy who does the cinematography for my films was one of the grips who assembled said crane.
Basically, if there's a shot in that trailer with farmland in it, my colleagues and I probably worked on it in some capacity. |

| Its funny. We were putting up a rig and my buddy was really worried about screwing up because it's a Christopher Nolan movie but then the Key Grip comes over and says "Listen, no matter how good a job you do, someone somehwere on the Internet is gonna hate this movie, so dont sweat it." |

| The trailer is a useful reminder of the fact that Mathew McConaughey's voice will feature in this film. |
