Damages Empty
PostSubject: Damages   Damages EmptyFri Nov 29, 2013 12:02 pm

Did anyone else stick with this long enough to see it mature from a decent legal thriller (well, not the 2nd season) to a series about power and ambition, and the lengths and costs people endure, in its final three seasons?

The writing was never perfect but I don't think any of the other post-Sopranos shows - Boardwalk and Mad Men - were quite as good at packing as much tension and history into single scenes. It also benefited enormously from focusing in on two characters versus a larger extendend cast. Close and Byrne were terrific, especially in those last two seasons.

Any other fans?
