Definitive Bond by Era Empty
PostSubject: Definitive Bond by Era   Definitive Bond by Era EmptyMon Aug 25, 2014 12:56 pm

With the news that Craig will get an "iconic" henchman in Bond 24, it got me thinking about the passed Bond actors and who/what holds the title for the definitive villain, babe, henchman, car, scene, etc. I'll kick it off with:

Sean Connery

Villain: Blofeld (Pleasance)
Runner Up: Goldfinger
Blofeld spanned so many films that when we finally see him, it needed to be worth the wait. Pleasance oozed creepiness with a touch of camp to hold the Benign Bizarre that characterises Bond. Goldfinger is a strong contender for 1st place being involved in arguably the most iconic Bond film, and in some of the most iconic scenes of the series.

Girl: Honey Ryder
Runner Up: Pussy Galore
Honey is the definitive Bond girl; Pussy the one with possibly the most memorable name.

Car: DB5
The most famous car in movie history.

Henchman: Oddjob
Runner Up: Red Grant
Red Grant I find to be more compelling, though Oddjob is so outrageous and fun that it's always great to watch on screen. Definitely up there with the best.

Roger Moore
Villain: The Man With The Golden Gun
Runner Up: Max Zorin

Girl: Octopussy
Runner Up: Not sure about this oneā€¦

Henchman: Jaws
Runner Up: May Day

Car: Wet Nellie

Timothy Dalton

Villain: Franz Sanchez
Runner Up: ??

Girl: Kara?
Runner Up: ??

Henchman: Necros??
Runner Up: Dario??

Car: Aston Martin Volante

Pierce Brosnan
Villain: OO6
Runner Up: Elektra King

Girl: Natalya Simonova
Runner Up: Wai Lin

Car: BMW 750iL

Henchman: Xenia Onatopp
Runner Up: Renard
