Lea Seydoux joins Bond 24

Fine work from the titty committee.

Assuming she's not a femme fatale, but the actual main Bond girl, I want to see B24 end with Bond rogering her. Three films straight, and Craig hasn't ended a film with a girl in his arm.

Basically, I want to see Seydoux only in sheets.

I think we'll get to see her only in sheets either way. I thought she was cast as the femme fatale, though, yes? I think she's got the look for it. Actually she's got the look period.

Also getting a ScarJo vibe from Lea, which I'm very happy with.

Here's the notorious Daily Beast interview where Léa laid into Abdellatif Kechiche, the director of Blue is the Warmest Colour. He responded by saying he'd wanted to replace her, but they were too far into the shoot. Some will be disappointed to read about the 'fake pussies'.

Two very good performances but the material itself was fairly thin.

I thought it was much better than that. The standout performer is Adèle Exarchopoulos, who's been a bit overshadowed by Léa Seydoux. (I feel a bit sorry for Adèle now I've read how young she was and how she had no idea what she was getting into.) That said, I think the film's a very good ensemble piece. Do these actors and actresses ever THINK about what they are saying, or about to say? In her defense, it seems like she's making it up as she goes along, which could mean she doesn't have a strong handle on the character or it is (still) poorly written. And since she's ESL, I'll forgive her for using the word VIRAL instead of VIRILE.

Still, I'm so sick of these actresses feeling the need to tell us how strong their characters are and how they're just like James Bond.

It's become a cliche. A reflexive, defensive talking point that some feel the need to use because there's a bit of hidden shame and guilt for taking on the role of Bond Girl and selling out their fellow sisterhood. And, I mean, quite honestly, Lea Seydoux told us nothing about her character that couldn't have been said about almost any other Bond Girl.

Since Kara we've had the following lead Bond Girls:
ex-CIA pilot
computer programmer
Chinese super spy
Nuclear scientist
Treasury agent
Bolivian secret agent
Head of MI6

Kara and Natalya are two of my favorites, particularly Natalya, who doesn't sacrifice being a woman in order to be "Bond's equal". But that's a discussion for another time, another thread. Lea Seydoux told us absolutely nothing. Who is Madeline Swan? What does she do? How is she involved in the story? I mean, can they not just tell me this, or am I meant to wait for the movie to come out and see it for myself?

I don't think any of them were at liberty to divulge their roles just yet. But soon....

Here's hoping she is the sacrificy lamb.

She can't hold a movie she is a terrible actress. She looks OK moody for a short while thought.

Monica Bellucci is way better than her, even though she is, shall I say, a bit less fresher.
