White people are losing their minds at "Serial," a new season-long podcast by the folks behind "This American Life" that tells the story of the investigation into a Maryland teenager's death.

I haven't sunk my teeth too far into it yet, but it isn't really what you expect out of a "podcast." It sounds more like a long-form NPR piece. The first two episodes are currently up.

I tried listening to one minute of the first episode podcast, but couldn't take it anymore. Smug beyond words.

This American English teacher is ditching Shakespeare for "Serial":

His reasoning? It's "hip and fresh".

This has just hit BBC Radio 4 Extra. It's playing catchup with an episode a night.

Episode one onwards is on Iplayer for another three weeks or so.

You'll be pleased to know that he is the exception, and not the rule. I'm still teaching "Richard III" and "Othello".
