| What is going to be "iconic" about Hinx? Just curious. Once you've had hench-people who have killer hats, metal for teeth, or squeeze men to death between their thighs, it starts to get difficult to find a henchman/woman with a personality that is going to stand out. How is he going to be different than what has come before?
I mean, the bar is pretty high. He'll have to compete with unforgettable foes such as Elvis or Black Guy #3 from Casino Royale. Those are some pretty big shoes to fill. |

| I think his henchman will certainly be at the climax of the film to fight so that already leaves the best impression in Craig's era. The best henchmen were usually around until at least the end of the second actor or later, as opposed to Patrice in SF. As for a gimmick? Can't guess that one. |

| Interesting that Dave Bautista is in the rehearsals rather than just a circle read. Seems this is going to be a somewhat bigger role than the usual grunting henchman. Maybe he's a budding philosopher. Not had one of those since DAF.

| His name is still s**t. Maybe he'll have a knuckleduster made of human bone. The he doesn't look like he'd need one. Or one golden revolver with dumdums? Whatever, Bautista looks iconic enough himself without some gadget, no? |

Maybe more deadpan delivery? That worked for him in GOTG. Either that or some other 'novelty'...killer hats and metal teeth wouldn't work in 2014 even if they weren't used before. |

Doesn't bother me...some of the Bond girls have had more hideous names. |

| True that, the girls really had to suffer. No, it's no great concern with me, sort of outgrew the stage where I stumbled over it. Now it's just odd. |

| I'm also thinking that Bautista's wrestling experience (he had the WWE championship belt) will be incorporated into some memorable fight sequences. He could help with choreographing them too. |

Agreed. One of the worst names ever. Too reminiscent of Jinx. |

| To make the film more PC, Bautista will wipe the floor with Craig, but then be defeated by a flick of Miss Seydoux's little finger. Just like life, then. Or at least, just like something by Stieg Larsson. |

I'm hoping that he won't simply be able to overpower Bond, but overwhelm him to the point where Bond cannot beat him in a fistfight, and so has to use his head to best him - kind of like the way he electrocuted Oddjob. |

A Glasgow Kiss would be a bit unsporting. Mind you, Craig is from The Wirral. They're a dirty bunch up there. |

| By the way, I'm also hoping Hinx has a speaking role, and doesn't also appear as a big dufus, as Jaws was, flapping his arms in the sky and crashing through buildings when he fails to kill Bond. |

Excellent. I'm going to use that sentence to test my lazy-ass TEFL students. I may also pilfer it for my remix of The Carpenters' Masquerade. |

| I still think "Hinx" is a stupid name, even if it's been confirmed as the character name. I mean, how hard is it to think of a decent character name? All they would have to do is open a phonebook from somewhere on the continent and spend five minutes flipping through it to get something like "Dierickx" or "Wittenstein" or "Zielinski" or "Romasko". |
