Perhaps the Met and the RSPCA can join forces and prosecute Eon in time to celebrate YOLT's golden anniversary. At least there's some evidence in this case.

I really, really hope there's a cat in Spectre.

Now I've got one more reason to rank YOLT as my least favourite Bond film.

I was told that the cat's owner tried to sue because of the trauma the cat was put through while shooting, but not sure if that's true or not.

Sustained trauma to the pussy has been a recurring theme of Sean Connery's career.

But this is truly a case of cruelty against animals. Cats are afraid of firework and they are holding it quite next to it. I always wondered if its hearing was damaged. Cats have a very good sense of hearing and they expose the cat to a lot of explosions. Probably hurt its ears to hear that. That animal crashed against the wall for a reason. And that doesn't look too healthy either.
I think it was hurt afterwards.
As far as I know a cat wouldn't sit next to you when you watch it. So how about the animal that was in it?

But I thought that the loud sound effects were added afterwards, where during filming, it would be near as loud?

I don't know. So it was at least spared that? Something must have scared it. That cat is in panic. I think the explosions are real, aren't they?

I do not get why they continued filming with the cat. Cat bites are dangerous (they can lead to amputation - no joke), which is only one aspect to consider...A more lively cat might have decided to take things into its own teeth. The cat clawing and biting Blofeld wouldn't have been the wanted result, I guess. Once an animal is panicked as much as this cat is, it is unpredictable. The decision to continue no matter what is simply downright stupid.
He could just have dropped it and it would have run out. There was absolutely no need for the cat in this scene.
And why didn't the owner interfere instead of trying to sue afterwards?

Oh okay. Not sure why they owner didn't interfere at the time, but one youtube video (Can't remember which one), said that he tried to sue afterwards and I think it from the special features on the DVD.

It feels to me like s/he wanted to make the most money out of that animal and once it was traumatized it had become useless.
I do not want to falsely accuse someone. It just seems odd to me that you kind of stand by and watch your animal being traumatized and then sue afterwards...And I take it that the owner would be present? Had he taken the cat out, he would have lost the money.

Perhaps the owner did not realize the severity of it, until after shooting, noticing the cat's traumatized behavior and after effects a lot more, afterwards?

Probably. Still I wonder what kind of cat owner happens to overlook that...
