How the Hell Are You?

Just got through watching CR in preparation for the debut of SP next week and--with the help of two double vodka martinis--got to feeling a mite sentimental. So I thought I would pop in to the old bulrushes and see how the gang was doing. Hell, maybe you lot don't even remember me, but I used to be a borderline legend among the Internet Bond community, and was one of the patriarchs--sorry if that offends the feministas--of BaB. At any rate, this is just my stab at a reunion of sorts. I'll be happy to hear from my old mates.

Hey Joe, great to know you're still out there.

I returned a few months ago after the expiry of a year-long ban from Sharky for 'being a cunt' and hurting Dragonpol's feelings. Seems both have left now with Shark posting at CBn having done his work here. The lovely Rave is gone as well so it's nice to see someone who's been around the block a few times and read more than a Marvel comic.

You'll find the usual collection of in-yer-face virtue signallers so I won't expect you to stay long, but good of you to drop in again. Even if it did take a stiff drink to face the ruins.

Doing well, CJB. Great to see you're still part of the Bondoverse. I spose the only MAJOR change in my life since I last posted here is a developing fascination with--and practice thereof--abstract painting. Go figure.

Great to hear from you, too, FM. Regarding SP, I have managed to stay spoiler-free. I have watched the trailers, but have not scrutinized every single frame. I have also read the introductory blurbs from critics on Rottentomatoes, and it seems that SP hasn't exactly slain the critics (more's the pity ). But most critics don't understand Bond to begin with, so I take their words with a grain of salt. I will begin forming my own opinion tomorrow night.

Hello Khanners ... I did wonder if SPECTRE's release would lead some of the 'old guard' to pop their heads round the door, so to speak.

With the Australian Prime Ministership being a bit of a revolving door at the moment, I suspect I'll have a go in about 6-8 weeks. If all else fails, I'll become a US citizen and try to nab a position in the Trump Administration.
