Madeleine vs Lucia

Favourite Bond girl of SPECTRE?

Mine would be Lucia at this stage. I was ready to fall in love with Madeleine during her first scene with Bond, but her outbursts came across as very childish and didn't really like her after that. But will see if that changes during my next visit.

Most of Lucia's scenes - I wasn't all that impressed with her first scene - were great. I loved all the scenes at her house and any reservation I had about her casting was quickly diminished. The one shot of her arriving home was of Skyfall's quality… Moody, sensual and felt authentically Bondian. There have been better performances from Bond girls though.

While writing this, I thought about Estrella… We don't know much about her… I thought she could have been just a girl he picked up at the festivities, but I'm sure I read something about her being an agent assisting Bond. But it doesn't read like that on screen. If she WAS an agent assisting Bond, I wonder if Camille was considered to return. As lovely as Estrella is, I can't help but picture how great it would have been for Olga to return and see her alongside Bond again.

Severine is certainly Craig's best Bond girl.

I liked Swann. I bought Bond's softness for her. One naturally wonders if Bond 25's PTS will feature an unfortunate OHMSS redux.

Lucia was bleh.

Madeleine. Nothing Lucia does beats her sashaying down the train carriage, in my book.

The odds are skewed in Madeleine's favour because she had way more screen time.

Lucia played her few minutes of on-screen time quite alright in my book.

Madeleine claimed she's Bond's equal in run-up interviews, but could she handle a needle drilling through her jaw without shitting herself?

I can't vote on this one given the uneven presence.
