Charles Gray as Blofeld Empty
PostSubject: Charles Gray as Blofeld   Charles Gray as Blofeld EmptySun Feb 12, 2017 3:05 am

I just recently noticed that Charles Gray played a small character in YOLT and then showed up two movies later as Blofeld in DAF. There are plenty of actors that have played multiple characters in Bond movies, but this one interests me. Anyone have any background on how he got chosen as the new face of Blofeld?

Were the producers of YOLT so enamored by his short role that they wanted him to return in a bigger role? Did they not like the performance of YOLT's Blofeld?

All I know is that they royally fucked up by having the most British person in the franchise take the role of Blofeld.

Welcome Undreth!

I prefer the majority of other villains to Gray's Blofeld, but he's such a hoot. Much preferable to Waltz' version, which is ironic because Waltz is perfect casting.

Thank you!

I think Waltz is good cast on paper, but he did incredibly little with the role. He has even admitted such himself. Purvis and Wade probably saw him in Inglorius Basterds and thought that the character creates itself.

I'd say Lawrence's characters are different.

Daniel Craig also plays two different characters. He's James Bond in SF, and some other twat in the other three movies he's done so far.
