I haven't seen any of his films, but I've noticed his name gets thrown around a bit for Bond - well it did on the IMDB boards. He's English so he's automatically in the running since they like directors within the Commonwealth.

His 'Three Cornettos' trilogy with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World's End) is great fun, and Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is sheer joy.
Hot Fuzz features Dalton amongst its cast and Brosnan pops up in World's End, by the way.

Hot Fuzz has been on my watch list for the last decade. Just haven't got around to watching it! Will definitely be checking out more of Wright's films.

Hot Fuzz is my favourite of his trilogy and gets better each time I watch it, Shaun of the Dead doesn't quite have the repeatability factor imo and I confess though not without merit I found 'The Worlds End' a bit flat. All that said Wrights style is always a treat so I would always look forward to his next project.
How many versions of "The Driver" is Hollywood going to churn out?

I thought this was pretty horrendous, to be honest. I don't get why so many people thought this was a huge step forward for Edgar Wright.
Tonally it was all over the place, some of the plot developments made no sense in terms of the earlier characterization (the evil ring leader becomes the father figure & Jon Hamm becoming the villain out of nowhere).
One gimmick (choreographing car chases to specific songs) does not a movie make.
