Featuring unreleased music and alternative tracks for the film. Not sure how much it differs from the other two disc CD. Largo's Shark might have had more info if he was still around.

I'll probably get it to listen out for any differences.

I don't think so. I saw someone commenting on the fact that it should have been included.

Since we already have the 2-disc set of DAD, I think TWINE should get a rerelease. That has some excellent unreleased cues. Hopefully this won't be a one-off.

Shamefully, I'm keen on this. I found an expanded score on YouTube someone put together. The key tracks for me are the ice palace's car chase and 'kiss of life'. I think there might be alternatives to Madonna's stuff if I'm not mistaken.

The Kiss of Life track is one of Arnold's best. But you aren't alone. Added to my Christmas list, unashamedly, I might add.

It's a bad month for wanting certain CD releases -Close Encounters' 40th anniversary 2CD release, Titanic 4CD and DAD. Throw in the Last Jedi and I'll be broke. Pending a new job, DAD is the one to aim for. About time Arnold's Bond scores, even DAD, got an expanded release. TND would be my next pick.

Titanic has been on my list for some time, but I know it will open up a whole new collection of non-Bond scores. Chinatown and Benjamin Button too.

As for Bond, we did get a two disc release of DAD. Looks like this:

La La Records Soundtrack Re-Releases 2d00248a2309f2ddada9b81c6ea87b1c

I'm curious to see what the biggest differences are. It has every musical cue and alternative as far as I know. Similarly, TND had a second CD released, with more tracks from the second half of the film, but I would splurge on another TND disc if it meant a release of the CMNG party music and Bond's escape from both the bazaar (as he flies through the fire), and from the printing factory on the dolly.

TWINE is in dire need for a rerelease. The gun barrel music, Bilbao escape, Welcome to Baku (sans vocalist), Bond's arrival in Kazakhstan, "Who's afraid now, Mr Bond" and Bond and Elektra's skiing before the ambush spring to mind, as well as the end credits music.

I didn't twig about the TND release. I've seen an expanded score on YouTube via the same guy who put up the DAD one but some of the tracks had audio from the film just below the surface (such as HMS Bedford's shells raining down on the seacat). I'm sure with DAD done, the other Arnold Bond scores will follow (if DAD proves popular enough).Makes a change to the last LLL release I brought, tis being Batman '66

Oh, yes. LTK is an absolute must I think. Hate the release we got. The songs are something I always skipped (the title song I think is misplaced against the film itself. For, say, Octopussy it would've worked). Like Kamen's music for when Bond escapes from Sanchez's pad by clinging to Lupe's boat.

I remember when the expanded Barry's started to be released. Badgered my mum into letting me get OHMSS. That was the one I wanted for ages -Escape from Piz Gloria, Journey to Blofeld's Hideaway and Ski Chase (the film version)...I tend to skip Do You Know How Christmas Trees Are Grown. I don't mind it in the background but never can sit for it as a standalone.

Ha glad I'm not the only one with Do You Know How Christmas Trees Are Grown. I love when it pops up in the film. It lends the film an ambience like no other Bond movie in that we've got some incredibly tense scenes underscored by the chirpy vocals of Nina van Pallandt and children. Listening to it in isolation is a drag.

Exactly, it's fine when we see Campbell at the train station (I always think Samuden, but that's the book) and even when Bond is on the precipice but otherwise no. Weirdly, it seemed to be the Bond song for the film to plug. Even appearing on Morecambe & Wise I believe as below:

But We Have All the Time in the World seemed to be neglected until it got used for a Guinness advert many moons later.

This video shows how weird, dare I say, the Nina song was in isolation.

I remember when I went to meet George Lazenby in 2008, that just before he turned up, the guy who ran the shop (Vin Mag in Soho) put on the original CD for OHMSS. I got out before we hit the Nina song. Quite what ol' Laze made of the whole thing is anyones guess. He turned up incognito if I remember.

Ha! Never seen that before. To be honest, it's not as terrible as I remembered, but I wouldn't be caught listening to it.

We Have All The Time In The World I hear playing on the radio all the time. It's arguably the most commercial of Bond songs.

I'm sure Laz would have had Miss Nina.

I might have to wait. The P&P alone is eye-watering for me at the moment. Since I moved in September finances have been re-jigged. See what happens.

Yeah it was a bit steep. And in my rush to get it before heading out, I forgot to take the exchange rate into consideration. Didn't even check local stores.

Indeed. P&P is about sixteen dollars from US-UK, which is about thirteen pounds or something. Altogether I'm looking at thirty-odd quid.

Just got mine and oh boy is this a welcome improvement....
All the great cues are finally here that were totally absent on the far too short cd and even more important is that the dynamic range is totally restored so it’s not horrendously loud like the old crappy cd we’ve been stuck with for 15 years!
Disc 2 has the film version cues so it’s possible to make a custom cd in film order if so desired. While I wish they had been able to get the Madonna and Oakenfold tracks in order to have a well mastered complete release, I doubt that there are much more dynamics in those source recordings...so all I need now is the vinyl single of the title song...because I have issues...

In other words this release knocks it out of the park. I only wish that the specialty labels didn’t have to charge so much and offered hires versions. It seems silly to me to have 24/192 files that all get put out on cd only. That being said the packaging is first rate and even the photo selections are spot on.

I received mine a while back but a little disappointed considering I had bought a two disc version of the soundtrack already years ago and there is a crossover of nearly all of them. But for someone who hadn't got the other 2 disc soundtrack in the past, I imagine it would be great.

The only new tracks on the la la records expanded soundtrack are:
The orchestra only track for "What's In It For You" and
The alternate ending of Peaceful Fountains of Desire

I think I would have preferred Party Trick to the dance version of Madonna's Die Another Day in the film during the Ice Palace party. Not as soulful as the TND party music (if at all), but it's a new sound still in the realm of the Bond sound. Shame it's so short. And the alternate version of Wheelchair Access is excellent. I wish they used that instead. I remember Largo's Shark calling it obnoxious but I disagree.

Bought this instantly. Great score for a shit film.

I remember "obtaining" a bootleg of the "expanded" score back in high school, but it didn't contain nearly as much music. The music for this release came from Arnold's personal tapes, according to the liner notes.

I like it more than CASINO ROYALE, to be honest.

I'm hoping LaLaLand Records releases a complete version of THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH in the near future.

Anyone with an ear for music should prefer it to CR. Soulless, clinical sound to match the film. That's been a huge problem for Craig's films in my opinion, save for QOS and a select few tracks of Newman's score. Worst thing Mendes did (aside from making Blofeld Bond's bro) was to hire Newman. Overrated hack. DAD is full of colour and vitality, which is critical to creating Bond's sound.

I too want a complete TWINE soundtrack release. Aching to get:

Gunbarrel/Bilbao Escape
Welcome to Baku (sans Natascha Atlas)
Kazakhstan
Bond and Elektra skiing
And Who's Afraid Now, Mr Bond?

And other alternate tracks that we might not know about. Same with TND actually, as well as a release of:

Carver's Party Music (all three tracks)
Bond's escape from the factory
Bond's escape from the bazaar/plane chase
