| As far as I can see, he hasn't acted since 2016, when "Penny Dreadful" came to an end. Not in any movies, TV shows but also not in any stage productions as far as I can tell. Has anything official been released in terms of his status? |

| Doesn't appear to be anything listed on IMDBpro... He might pop up in Toy Story 4, considering his Mr Pricklepants was a hit as far as I can remember.
I hope he hasn't retired. Though I imagine he's simply selective about the parts he chooses. |

| IIRC, Dalton was cast in The Death of Stalin then replaced by Jason isaacs without any public explanation. |

| Outstanding avatar, Ambler.
Didn't know Dalton was set to play Zhukov. Quite interesting given that, as I maintain, Jason Isaacs was the natural successor to Dalton as Bond in the 90'sd. |

| Wait seriously? There are others besides me that think they look physically similar? That's the one thing that I always feel ironic about saying Issacs was the perfect successor (and still is. Still IS. Clears throat. EON? Anyone? Hellooooo!) that he looks strikingly similar to Dalton. (Not to mention that one book jokingly referred to Tim as Patrick Stewart with hair and I've never been able to get that joke out of my head since. Now that I'm getting into Star Trek I can totally picture Dalton doing Picard.)
I too hope he hasn't retired but then again he has never been one to do a whole slew of projects all the time. He seems to spontaneously appear in some bit of dreck usually and brighten one's existence for a fleeting moment. Or in what become cult classics like The Rocketeer or the masterwork that is Flash Gordon.
Still the oddest and best museum experience I've ever had was seeing a Russian-Faberge-Romanov exhibit and getting the audio tour only to hear the magical words: "Hello, I'm Timothy Dalton". I think I was about 8 at the time and I simply sat there hitting the repeat track button endlessly to hear I'm Timothy Dalton over and over again. I had no idea it was a celebrity audio tour and despite wanting to see the exhibits found it more thrilling 007 was giving me an art lecture than anything. Then came the meta moment where they had the blue Faberge coronation egg on display that was the model for the green OP egg-and it was here I first discovered the beautiful green egg was sadly fake and had 007 telling me about an egg in a Bond film. Of course little did I want to give the plastic audio guide thingy back and asked to no avail in the gift shop if I could get the audio tour.
EDIT: Holy crap I found the transcript! http://pelicanpromotions.com.au/dalton/czars.html |

| Jason Isaacs doesn't seem to be first choice for anything, which is odd as he's very charismatic. |
