Yet to see it, but social media in a bit of frenzy as it's seen by critics and fans alike as one of these best TV shows ever. I believe it's currently the highest rated series on IMDB at 9.7/10. Stars Jared Harris, Emily Watson and Stellan Skarsgard.
Trailer looks horrific. Really dig the use of the geiger counter reading seemingly intertwined with the score. Bit like Atonement, where a typewriter is used as an instrument.
Side note: always though Jared Harris would make a great M. Maybe after Fiennes.

This is a fantastic show. Mature, intelligent story-telling. A wonderfully effective blending of genres.
In that regard, this is the second such show that Jared Harris has been in, after "The Terror".
Almost sad that only one episode remains.

5 episodes does seem an odd number for a miniseries, but I suppose props to them for taking only the necessary time to tell the story.

About halfway through and, yes, it lives up to the hype.
I don't know about Jared Harris as M - he's not the steely old Admiral of Fleming's pages or the perfectly-cast Bernard Lee - but I think he'd make a terrific Q. Much better than that walking, talking bottle of human Kombucha we're stuck with.

How are you watching it, CJB? I need a good streaming site if you aren't watching it on Foxtel.

I'm watching on Foxtel. Might be some good deals to be nabbed if they're desperate for new accounts now that GoT is doneski.

The point that has been made in that regard is that Hollywood can be a lot about working on a lot of dross as a writer. Even then, they can still butcher your work with daily rewrites. It can take a while until you have enough clout to do completely your own thing. As Craig Mazin finally got to do with his brilliant "Chernobyl".

Anyway, now that it's finished, I'd be willing to say that this is the best show of the decade. Surely.

Not sure about that but it's certainly the best thing I've seen in a long time.
If I'm being a bit harsh, I would say that episode four was not as good as the other four episodes.
Other than that, it was incredibly riveting TV.

It's bizarre that someone who hasn't really done anything in the same genre as Chernobyl is able to have such creative freedom.

Yeah admittedly I thought all the dog shooting was a bit much in terms of screentime. Plus it seemed a bit late in the piece to introduce all these new characters, even if it was just for that one episode.
